Will the jury be able to keep the notes?

At least in our court system here, no. Juror notebooks are left in the deliberating room at the end of the day (locked by bailiff), and turned over to the court at then end of proceedings.

IIRC they were boyfriend and girlfriend for 2 months. What I cannot remember is how long did they actually know each other until she murdered Travis?

I think the dating part is open for debate. Jodi claims it was 5-6 months but there isn't any evidence, other than Jodi, that the relationship lasted that long. I'm of the opinion it lasted a few months

The jury in the "American Sniper" trial came back with a verdict in less than three hours after they got the case (yesterday).

We could only dream. I think his guilt was pretty clear-cut (they didn't buy the insanity defense), so there wasn't much left for them to deliberate. Life or death debate will most likely take more time, especially since it's doubtful they'll come to a unanimous agreement, MOO.

I'm sure AZL can explain this better than I can but I believe that the appeal that would be automatic for her if she receives the DP will require little to no input from her. So she will not be centre stage during that mandatory appeal process.

Now if she receives life and has to pay for an appeal or go with a public defender, then it gives her and her supporters reason to keep her in the public eye forever. Not to mention the visitation rules will be much more relaxed meaning she can continue to manipulate her minions from inside prison walls. And gather some more who will carry on her work when they are released.

DP verdict will likely silence her much better than LWOP.

Okay, so is the jury actually deliberating already or do they start at 9:00 am tomorrow. Did they basically use this time to go over the deliberations rules and instructions?

My husband had a severe case of PF and did the exercises. You can google them, and believe it or not they work. My mom had it last year and she did the exercises and they helped her too. Try it!

That was the DTs strategy to put as much time as possible between deliberations and the states testimony about the premeditation and they accomplished that and then some putting months and months between the testimony.
Their other strategy was to trash Travis enough that one juror might think he had it coming. That part I hope failed miserably.

Thankfully, a lot of very significant new evidence was admitted this time around, and the DT's revolting Jekyl and Hyde routine had an upside.

Unlike the last jury, this one heard all kinds of evidence that JA stalked him, interfered with his relationships, was obsessed with him from the very beginning, hid under the tree, waited outside the bathroom door.... so much, and all of it absolutely convincing that SHE pursued HIM.

As for the split personalities of Travis. Bad Travis, yada yada. Trash the victim. Don't see how that helps the DT, given out far they took that line. Good Travis. Well, that was new. Yes they used his horrible childhood against him, but it cuts two ways. It's just as likely if not more likely that the jury will feel MORE sympathy for Travis, not less. And perhaps, if they talk about this for even a little while, maybe it will occur to at least some of them that the genuine abuse Travis suffered is what made HIM vulnerable to HER.

I hope that the jury takes their time, that they review any evidence they need to, that they work over any potential issues they may have with whatever penalty they are leaning towards.
I hope they are thoughtful, that they are respectful of the weight of the decision they have to make.
I do not want them to rush to a decision, whatever their decision ultimately may be. I don't want them to have any regrets or second thoughts afterwards.

No, but I think they were her accomplices... Carl took her to get the car, I have suspicions that her sister may have removed evidence when she left for rehab shortly after the murder and before JA was arrested, the "stolen" phone... yea right, her folks for getting her the rental car and hiding the gun in it for her "escape" the day she was arrested, not to mention her ex-bf's assistance, gas-cans, forged letters, GS's help with both being a witness and one of her phones plus that whole 3 day stay with him in Vegas right when all this started going down(recordings etc).

Wait...3 day stay in Vegas?? I must have missed something big-time.

Although it's true that Travis was an abusive, manipulative, pedophile who played with the hearts of mentally ill young girls. (2) Don't get distracted! When you get into the jury room, I want you to listen to this sex tape and watch this video to really get focused on the issues.

Oh, HLN is discussing the sniper trial ~ I wish they would at least have a verdict box on the bottom of the screen.....but noooooooooooooo Somebody needs to tell Arias that she is NOT relevant anymore . She absolutely could have gave her little presentation or even testified in open court cause nobody cares anymore. I bet she'll be looking for MK right now, because she's wanting to do an interview. Just wondering, did you all ever offer to let her try and change your minds? Sometimes having to explain yourself makes a person see things differently. It will highlight the things they're letting their emotions and not the facts dictate.

Your experience reminds me of what my son described his experience to be. He was one of six who wanted a guily verdict in a trial (not murder) and six didn't. One was an older woman who wouldn't budge. She said she could stay there forever because she was a homemaker. My son informed her three of the guilty members worked for the government and could also stay as long as it took and the other three (himself included) worked for companies that paid a full days pay for their service no limit. The other five not guilties put pressure on the old housewife to relent and vote guilty to get out of there. She was not a happy camper and told my son as they left the courtroom, she would remember him. He said he hoped she would and laughed.

Lets just hope we don't have another old woman who won't budge or another wm zervako's.
