BK's earlier tweets said that JA was in the courtroom with the judge while working on other cases. Then we have BK saying that JSS is on speakerphone with Nurmi, waiting on JA to enter courtroom.

Conflicting tweets. THIS is why trial by tweet is so freaking hard to follow and understand!!!!

It's all somewhat anti-climatic and manufactured drama.

If JA gets DP she goes to Perryville and is there for rest of her life and is not executed.

If JA gets LWOP she goes to Perryville and is there for the rest of her life and is not executed.

If she gets DP she gets automatic appeals and taxpayer funded ones at that. In some ways, LWOP is actually a very good outcome.

A juror asking to be released is not a major issue, although deliberations would have to "start over" with the replacement. Obviously the jury can't request a specific replacement, though, and now they will have to be questioned regarding the reason for the request. If the request is just coming from the one juror who wants to be excused, it is not as much of a problem as if the request is from the whole jury.

Right. The issue is the request for a particular alternate. I just hope like hell there has been ZERO commutation between the sitting jurors and the alternates.
