Funny, in the Wendi Adriano case, the only one who had doubts after they handed over the verdict was a... Nurse.

Yup.

The trauma nurse with the DV history is one that has worried me simply because her history could just as easily work against the DP as it could for the DP IMO.

I think that is ridiculous. I'm sure I've seen verdicts announced late in the day. Seems to me there was one a few months ago...sorry brain fog...can't remember which one, though I RECALL I watched it. yikes!

Ferguson MO?

I really hope every juror understands that voting for death doesn't mean AZ will ever execute that 🤬🤬🤬, and that even if she is put to death, SHE, not they would be responsible.

I'm sure they all know that. I also intellectually know that as well. I still imagine when you are asked to do it yourself it must be very difficult to actually vote for death.

In this case I could very easily vote for death and sleep well at night after doing it. But I know the process of voting for death must be very emotional and I know I would be. Because at the end of the day there will be no winners. I would be emotional because it still wouldn't give Travis back to his family. There really are just no winners in murder cases.

I would think that as a trauma nurse I would be even more inclined to sentence death after I saw the trauma Jodi inflicted on Travis. He would never have been able to be saved due to her brutality.

ITA. As a former ER Trauma RN, deciding whether someone lives or dies would be really difficult for me. We try so hard to save lives, it is almost counter intuitive. I am surprised she made it on to the jury actually.

JSS told this to everyone. Nothing wrong with communicating the the press. She's supposed to do that.

Oh okay. Just MK said "JSS just told me" like he was special. I haven't seen her saying anything to the press before, though, thought it was the "don't talk to the press" gag order that went out. Mea culpa. :)

State v Arias: The jury has left for the evening. They will return tomorrow to resume deliberations.

Doesn't sound like a verdict has been reached. :(

I agree. Surely the nurse has shared w others how incredibly brutal this murder was-- from a clinical perspective.

So CMJA is already "reaching out to people at Perryville"? What does that mean-making friends? Can they do that in all states? I am just getting a visual of Scott Peterson reaching out and making friends in his prison in California...

Just wondering, if everyone in Perryville that JA will contact with, at least for the first 2-5yrs, is either on death row or in maximum security, and AZ has no parole system which means everyone in maximum is likely a lifer(please correct me if this is wrong), then what would she be reaching out for... anyone already in there will already have their ***** figured out, so other than perhaps trying to set up some kind of future trades, when she's finally able to interact with other inmates, I don't see what she could be reaching out for except possibly applying now for any services she may be entitled to(library, recycling program, spanish classes... )

With LWOP she'll be in isolation for 2 or more years! People keep forgetting that. She won't be 'waltzing' anywhere, not for a long time, if ever.

Not only have I not forgotten that, I thought it was five years. In the first trial TA was stabbed 27 times, and now that number has somehow changed to 29.

Anyone know for sure what the numbers are? 2 and 29? 5 and 27? 2 and 29? 5 and 27?

"TIA" in advance.

If the jury is deadlock, I would rather it be because of the BPD not because the jury thinks TA was abusive.

Earlier today folks were joking abt Toblerones, Tootsie Rolls and Pop Rocks. I vaguely remember this from the first trial. Can someone refresh my memory?

Maybe they were looking at the photos and that's why she was crying. The red-faced guy might have been ready to vote LWOP and another juror told him check that dude look at the photos.

We have no idea what's going, I sure know I don't lol now ALV could probably tell us but Thank God she isn't there. JMHO

Are you sure? :gasp:

Exactly, the phrase, "there but for the grace of God go I", comes to mind.:/

Therein lies the dilemma. It just goes to show how difficult this verdict must be for anyone to decide, especially not having the benefit of following the first trial.

Being asked if one could render a DP verdict in theory must be different than actually being the one who decides it. Hope the jury can sort it all out and be unanimous one way or the other.

Maybe it's 27 originally + 1 for the trial + 1 for the sentencing phase.

Yes, in Jodi Ann's delusional mind she is going to a new 'singles' ward in Goodyear Arizona! Reaching out to the 'sisters' in the ward... in advance!
She'll probably request a rental car for the across town transfer. The jail bus might be a target by the haters.

Too true. I feel that, very strongly, at the end of every murder trial. No winners, and it is always sad.
