Would you want to believe your daughter was a cold hearted murderer? I wouldn't. I can not hold it against a mother for not wanting to believe the worst. We will see what happens in the future.

It is not about what they believe at this point. They KNOW she is because she admitted it.
No, of course I wouldn't!

That is all well and good but no one can say what they would do in this situation unless they are in it. I think it is a shame when people treat the family of the murderer as badly as the murderer. When you have children you realize you don't have as much control over them as you think. I think that JA was out of control early and fast. And I think that her mom may feel guilty that she should have done more. I won't take apart a mum for trying to find something redeeming in her child.

I don't see that. I see them being criticized for their own actions as it relates to the murder. Yes, she's their family, but that doesn't lessen what she did, nor excuse their callousness to the pain she caused.

My mom did turn me in, for taking toothpicks off a counter when I was around five and I was punished for it as they weren't mine. Parents have to set rules and lines. If I crossed that line and murdered someone INTENTIONALLY I can guarantee I would not have a family to support me.

If it was my daughter whom did this, I would be sitting with Travis's family and dedicating all my emotions to their family for justice. I would be the first to let me child know I would never support such a thing. My children have already been told, well my oldest which are 11 and 10 that if they every do anything from shop lifting to breaking a law I will be the first one to turn them in.

Please help. I need a text alert for my phone in case of verdict. I have to go out for awhile. Does anyone know how I can sign up with Fox or one of those local stations? Thank you!

This has bothered me for years, if the Alexanders file a civil suit and win, can that prevent the murderer from having any funds because they'll be channeled to the Alexander family?

I'm game for any solution that prevents the murderer from ever being able to spend a penny. I know the Alexanders don't want the money, but it's the point of the matter. I would rather get everything I could and donate it then to watch her live a life with any possibility of creature comforts. Even the ones in prison.

Glad to read they brought treats. Hope they work through lunch, no more 1.5 hour lunch breaks. And no 10 minute sidebars every fifteen minutes either. That means they're really working hard and getting some good deliberations in. Verdict late today maybe?.

In my crock pot right now is home made meat sauce. I just fried some ground beef. Then threw it in the crock pot with onions, mushrooms, garlic, diced tomatoes and some jarred sauce. Simmer on low for 6 hours and serve it over fresh noodles. YUM.

No, you're not! I didn't even know what it is. But seen all this crock potting discussion - I finally had a look on amazon: 2,126 results... any recommendations???
Actually I wonder how you can COOK with such a pot...;)
Now I'm curious and will check out some crock pot recipes.
Susza - you will love it! Just throw things in it in the morning-cooks all day & fills your house with a wonderful aroma! Do your things all day & 6-8 hours, a good hot comfort meal!

Yes they know she killed him. We all know that. But they are choosing at this point to hope that it was self defense. I can not blame them. I have seen it over and over in many cases where family refuses to believe it was anything but necessary for someone to have taken a life.

It is so much easier being out here, not related. But I can only imagine what it might be like on that side of the courtroom.

I know she killed him with much and detailed planning. I know that she is a monster, But I never loved her or carried her or cared for her.

Be careful, I did this last time and the text came way after the verdict. If you inbox me your number I'd be happy to update you like I did for Frigga last week.

What I am hoping for, is that jury members will speak to media as a group immediately after the sentencing. I want to hear from them. The jury spoke after the Scott Peterson trial and I was so glad they did. It shows jurors are just one of us. They struggle with the same thoughts, share the same convictions. It would have been best for this jury to be a part of the guilt phase. After watching this farce of a defense, I feel jurors should work really hard to come to a consensus one way or the other. Hanging a jury is just too easy and they fail the families of the victim by doing so. From what I have heard from Zervakos and him not attempting to deliberate, that jury should have asked for his removal. I would have...in a heartbeat.

Even if Zervakos was the foreman, I think that would have been wise to have at least asked Sherry.

I seem to recall there being some sort of a problem with one of the jurors during the Scott Peterson jury deliberations, which was moving at stall-speed, but once that one problem juror was replaced by an alternate juror, the verdict was reached the next day. I think. To the best of my memory.

I wonder if already knowing his position and hanging the jury is why Zervakos appointed himself foreman? Hmm...

I agree with you, as a mother, about almost all of that. I don't think the mother-card excuses Sandy Arias from trying to peddle the pedo letters, though. There's a difference between denial and support and actively abetting your daughter in her attempts to inflict yet more pain upon people she'd already caused unimaginable suffering.

Crock pots are fantastic! I use mine for cooking and when I have parties I use it to keep food good and hot without burning or drying out!
I love to put a frozen chicken in it in the morning and come home to fall off the bone chicken and veggies. So easy.

My mother follows this case closely as well. She has told Me that even though there isn't anything in the world that her kids could do to make her stop loving us, that there is no way she could sit by and support us in the way JA mom is. you can love and support your kids without spitting in the face of the victims family.

Yep. Me too. I found out faster here!
