I wonder if they are mad because they wanted to announce this tonight and the court squashed that. That would anger me and when I get angry I get red and if I get REAL angry/frustrated I cry. The court says NOPE, gotta wait til tomorrow so we can cross ou t's and dot out i's. The jury gets angry because they THOUGHT they were OUTTA there for good. Only they have to return to the dreaded jury room yet again. They were probably counting on sleeping in or taking off for a spur of the moment get away. (I have created this scenario completely.)

If there was a verdict I don't see why they wouldn't have announced it. They already said it wouldn't be read until tomorrow so why keep it secret?

All I can say is waaay stranger things have happened in this case.

Earlier today folks were joking abt Toblerones, Tootsie Rolls and Pop Rocks. I vaguely remember this from the first trial. Can someone refresh my memory?

JA claimed that all of these were involved during or after sexual activity with her murder victim.

DV excuse works both ways. What came across in this trial, IMO, was Jodi was the abuser.

I really hope the jurors saw the same thing you did TartLemon

If there's a hold out, I appreciate people standing their ground instead of saying "Well, we're sick of this so I'll settle for Life so we can just leave and get out of here." They're talking it out and that's all we can appreciate at this point. One more day of Life vs DP is better than everyone settling.

I'll try to have faith for another day.

Love seeing all of your discussions

GREAT NEWS FOR ME. I ditched work for the next three days. Someone took my trip! This better happen tomorrow. I am tired of being non-productive, but I need resolution. (Don't worry, I am not sacrificing work for this, I picked up a trip later in the month. Lets hope this doesn't to the 24th, lol.

Congrats. I'm working an early shift so I'll be able to join 10:30 or so AZ time. I hope it doesn't come in first thing. I'm screwed for Wed. though, Thurs. OK, but I don't want it to take that long.

Another ?? abt the family. Can someone plz remind me how they were involved in the renting of the car, etc right before JA was arrested? What exactly did they do/know at that point? Thx!

In the police interview, Jodi's dad told Flores he took her to rent the car, because her transmission was out ? (something along those lines) of her Infinity He didn't say he paid for it. I'm sure JA used the CASH she stole out of TA's wallet for his Cancun trip to fund it. Her dad even begged her to tell him where she was going and said "If you aren't guilty of anything, why are you leaving."

Thank you! For some reason I thought the mom was assisting in getting a rental car and hiding the gun. Sounds like that's not the case?

Wonder how long those $$ will keep rolling in? Aren't most of her supporters living in their parents' basements at age 45?

Mom and pops are bankrupt, so no help there...

It's my guess that the Arias parents declared bankruptcy so they could wipe the slate clean and collect the whole dollar amount they might get from the notoriety in the case (e.g. from a book deal) without having to pay it all to creditors. Bankruptcy generally allows you to keep your house and other stuff; they got to write off their debts to major department stores.

I just wish the jurors were sequestered. It must be nerve wracking to have to deal with other issues while under the pressure of a death penalty deliberation. I will say another prayers for the Alexander Family and for the jurors!

For the sake of PG audiences, these are best defined via the "Urban Dictionary":

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pop+rocks

For "tootsie pops" consult the following possibilities, all of which might apply with a little imagination:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Tootsie+Pop&defid=3234980

and

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=toblerone

Is it possible JA used this slang without knowing that it generally doesn't refer to candy used in sex acts (well, maybe the pop rocks), but to body parts? So this reflected just another one of her lies? The way JM sarcastically referred to this story in the first trial suggested he didn't believe a word...

JA lacks credibility to the extent that any claims she makes must be discounted unless independently corroborated, particularly if the claim in question redounds to her benefit. Then her credibility dives deeply into negative territory.

I have "1,000 Places to See Before You Die" and Perryville is not in it. Just saying.

Perryville just LOOKS depressing. Wonder what those huge tarps were covering?

You mean on the back of the fence? Probably can be pulled over the top for rain.

So when this trial is over andJA is sentenced, the transcripts and recordings will be released? How does anyone think it will be presented to the public? What news sources were allowed into the courtroom? Does anyone have any ideas on how or when we are going to get to see all this? ty

The trauma nurse doesn't worry me. She is a survivor of domestic violence. She will 100% know that JA was not abused. I'm not worried about her crying a lot either. She was very emotional during jury selection, especially when telling the court about her DV experience. She just seems like someone who wears their emotions of their sleeves and cries easily.

I can't even imagine a trauma nurse like that... it is so... counterintuitive.

It would seem being that emotional would kind of interfere with the job.

If I'm the emotional, crying parent of a patient I don't think I want the nurse falling apart too.

Am I the only one? I definitely want them to be compassionate but NOT wear their emotion(s) on their sleeves. IYKWIM?

Is that a window in her cell? That makes me mad. I don't want her to have a window.
