My son says the tread mark is from super swampers or toya open country or neo

LE may have retrieved CCTV footage of the car being parked.

I know gas stations usually have inside cameras along with outside cameras aimed towards the pumps. Maybe just maybe there's footage of RAT talking to A outside. imoo

I zoomed in on RAT's rear tire and enhanced the photo... but I don't know how to post it here... anyone can help me?

You can just save it and then attach it to your post with the attachment button (paper clip). Hope that helps.

If this tip.doesn't pan out... (Probably wrong type of tires per Sleuthers above...

I am wondering why this particular tip was provided to the public...

and yet we have been hearing minimal other tips and their follow ups? :waitasec:

How do those decisions get made?

Just thinking out loud here...

:seeya: Hello everyone! It's a slow day in the news for Alexis, but i'm sure it's not slow with LE! Keep the faith!
Forgive me if this has been posted (I didn't see it anywhere but could have missed it), but there has been an arrest in VA based on familial DNA...great news. They aren't saying who or what the crimes involved are.....

“We conducted a familial search and came up with a possible relative … of the perpetrator
FAMILIAL relative of the PERP....hum

The front tire is what was stated above- all terrains- and they seem to match the rear. We can't see the other 2 tires.

The picture of the track isn't the greatest, LE has the mold which would be much more telling IMO, but I would guess that just the fact that LE showed up and took a mold made it noteable (is that even a word?) for the media to pick it up for a "heard it here first!"

What about RATS's ATV?

Could an ATV have tracks that match those in the article?

The article states the owner measured the distance between the tires- and it matches a full size truck

my husband just looked at the picture of the tire marks and then the picture of rats truck and said they aren't the same and the tread marks would be wider if they were rats truck. just in his opinion only. we have a tahoe and a huge pickup truck and he's owned many trucks over the years so i guess that's what he's basing it on lol, i'm shocked he even took the time to look

yea my husband said he thinks its def some kind of truck but doesn't look like the suburban. i'm just glad this landowner was vigilent and i hope others check their properties as well

The tread on the back tire is much beefier then the front tires, IMO they are mud tires in the rear. (Just to add, my husband and I own a repair and performance shop so I hope my opinion would stand for something haha) Doesn't really matter though since it doesn't appear by looking at the photo that these are a match.. I really hope some new information is released soon.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up while wishing this is a positive thing to help find Alexis.

I had to giggle though, wonder if any kids went parking out in the woods during this past few days...like some did way back when. :)

Keep asking for his help! I have found that DH is much more tolerant of my WS addiction when he feels needed... :drumroll:

Could tires mounted on 22 inch rims leave tracks like that?

It definitely looks like a truck to me but just wondering.

i agree. looks like he has different tires on the front and back. i just hope the fact that this story is out there will get people talking more and checking their property lines, and thinking to check for something like tire marks, disturbed dirt, ground, etc

im not sure if that has anything to do with the specific track of a tire, but i am far from an expert on cars. i basically just drive what my husband buys, cars are not my thing. a previous poster said her and her husband own a company that involves cars and performance stuff so maybe that poster would know
