LE may have retrieved CCTV footage of the car being parked.
I zoomed in on RAT's rear tire and enhanced the photo... but I don't know how to post it here... anyone can help me?
Thanks. What's the source on this?
:seeya: Hello everyone! It's a slow day in the news for Alexis, but i'm sure it's not slow with LE! Keep the faith!
Forgive me if this has been posted (I didn't see it anywhere but could have missed it), but there has been an arrest in VA based on familial DNA...great news. They aren't saying who or what the crimes involved are.....

FAMILIAL relative of the PERP....humWe conducted a familial search and came up with a possible relative of the perpetrator
My son says the tread mark is from super swampers or toya open country or neo
I am going to guess the rears are BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, can't read it very well..
If this tip.doesn't pan out... (Probably wrong type of tires per Sleuthers above...
I am wondering why this particular tip was provided to the public...
and yet we have been hearing minimal other tips and their follow ups? :waitasec:
How do those decisions get made?
Just thinking out loud here...
What about RATS's ATV?
Could an ATV have tracks that match those in the article?
The article states the owner measured the distance between the tires- and it matches a full size truck

The front tire is what was stated above- all terrains- and they seem to match the rear. We can't see the other 2 tires.
The picture of the track isn't the greatest, LE has the mold which would be much more telling IMO, but I would guess that just the fact that LE showed up and took a mold made it noteable (is that even a word?) for the media to pick it up for a "heard it here first!"
my husband just looked at the picture of the tire marks and then the picture of rats truck and said they aren't the same and the tread marks would be wider if they were rats truck. just in his opinion only. we have a tahoe and a huge pickup truck and he's owned many trucks over the years so i guess that's what he's basing it on lol, i'm shocked he even took the time to look
The tread on the back tire is much beefier then the front tires, IMO they are mud tires in the rear. (Just to add, my husband and I own a repair and performance shop so I hope my opinion would stand for something haha) Doesn't really matter though since it doesn't appear by looking at the photo that these are a match.. I really hope some new information is released soon.
Could tires mounted on 22 inch rims leave tracks like that?
It definitely looks like a truck to me but just wondering.
