see that's what I'm sayin, nothing else to do, but check out the chicks pulling up to Liberty, and when that pans out, go up and down hwy. 29 up to a decent town, where there is something to do.

As a teenager, I would drive 30 min. up to Indianapolis just to drive around a hamburger stand called The Teepee. Seeing all those boys that didn't go to my school really gave me a thrill, especially because my mom absolutely forbid me to do it!

a 30 minute drive is nothing in a rural area. You know this as well as I do.
No one is saying these junkyards are criminal, just wanting to know, have you seen RAT hangin around any of them? Or around any businesses that spring up around these places?

If I owned a junkyard around hwy 29 or 56 or any in between, I would be
checking out every damn inch of my property, regardless of how upstanding, computer-driven, detail orientated I was. Common sense, right?

When Lauren Spierer disappeared from our town, everyone checked their property, all innocent people checked their property. It's something you would naturally do. You never know.

And the truth comes out....I knew there was something special about you!

Its been a couple of days since I last been on, and I'm sad they still haven't found Alexis :( Where is she??

Checking in too, and also sad to see no new info about Alexis.

Come home soon, sweetie. We are all sending love and light to you and your fam. :rose:

What purpose is a preliminary hearing versus the Grand Jury? What could RAT gain from going to the Grand Jury? Would more information be presented at a Grand Jury versus the preliminary hearing? I'm confused.

A preliminary hearing is NOT a trial — it is a hearing where the only question is whether there is SOME evidence to support a charge. Generally the judge will not consider defense evidence; the question is whether, if the government’s evidence is believed, there is “probable cause” that the defendant committed the offense charged.

Although cases often get negotiated down at this point, in the great majority of cases in which a preliminary hearing is held, the case is certified to the grand jury, which means that it is sent on the Circuit Court — the only court that can hold a full trial in a felony case.

It's 45 miles from the Liberty in Lovingston to Cunningham Bros on 29 in Rustburg. From the looks of that Suburban he maybe got 11 MPG - a pretty expensive trip IMO. And, no people are not 'making the rounds' in that part of Rustburg, VA. Maybe a few old timers getting coffee at McD's in the morning, but that's it. Plenty other areas closer to RAT....Madison Heights, downtown/park areas of Lynchburg, Charlottesville.

when one is payin for 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 with a c note, one can afford to cruise for the real
thing, and that's exactly what this predator did.

ya know, I'm beginning to think you know a lot about all the cruising spots.
Work with me here.

I agree with pieceofwork, the area surrounding Cunningham's - McDonald's, Bojangles, Foster Fuels (which has a Subway inside), doesn't strike me as being the go to place for cruising. One goes to those places to get gas, food, or auto parts, not to hang out.

Okay, there is a car wash and landfill and livestock auction in the same area but again those places are frequented for their intended use. Many more places along 29S for RAT to cruise/hang out before he would ever get to the Rustburg location. And it appears when he wanted to leave Lovingston he headed north to Charlottesville.

I think the McDonalds at the 2 DIFFERENT places are being confused? McD's/Liberty in Lovingston was/is a hangout.

I think it is because RAT and his lawyer actually do not want the evidence publicly presented. To me, the lawyer was quick to the media early on but has learned more facts since that time, and has now gone quiet. The most interesting thing in that article to me is the argument by defense counsel that the "weak evidence" could also justify murder or wounding----sounds like there is some blood evidence somewhere---in the car would be my guess. Of course, this is really just reading tea leaves at this point in time.

Definitely agree with the Lovingston McDonald's as a hangout. The Rustburg McDonald's not a hangout - the same for the businesses I listed above around the Rustburg McDonald's.

Yes, Liberty is a hangout - it's right on the highway, it has the cheapest gas with a McD's attached and a Food Lion right behind it. If I were to suggest some places he might want to hangout that are closer than the aforementioned places south of Lynchburg...the Sheetz at Rt 130 in Madison Heights is quite active, the McD's in Amherst is small but busy at times -but it does sound like he was a frequent visitor to Charlottesville, which I'm not as familiar with. I think this guy has been 'just smart enough' to keep himself out of LE's reach for something 'big'. Hopefully this time he is going down - and others if he had help.

IMO: LE is building a huge case possibly involving others and other charges will be forthcoming. There are just so many details and unanswered questions that make this a complicated investigation. LE not asking for community help in the search tells me something, and that it's not a good thing for Alexis - but I continue to pray for her family and her safe return.

“Things are going to be revealed that are going to jeopardize the right to a fair trial later on,” Martin said.

He called the case “sensitive and unusual” and said the media coverage was “unprecedented for this area.”

Whatever it is they have on this guy must be horrendous and is going to cause an outrage. imo

This has always been my guess. They only told us about the hair but that in no way means that hair is the ONLY thing that was found.

My guess is that blood and hair were found but in trace amounts because RAT tried to clean the area..but they are still looking for the body.

I do not believe RAT will get off...body or no body.

Imo, many times when a Judge seals documents in a trial, prevents media coverage, or hides behind the cloak of secrecy. There is a very good reason for it.. If the media coverage is unprecedented for the area before. These unusual actions by the court will only increase the media frenzy, imo.
Missing/murdered persons cases, referred too as the silent epidemic have become almost commonplace in VA, and across the USA. Imo, the lack of transparency by LE/Justice system indicates that this case will likely involve multiple victims by RAT.

What I've been wondering is if there is anyway possible that LE found something related to AM's disappearance on the 1st because they say that's when he violated probation. Maybe he started his planning then and LE know something about it? It's just a suggestion. Could be totally unrelated. I just say that though because it is kinda crazy how they were onto him right away with just footage of him being at the gas station.

He was a suspect in another girl's disappearance, that's why. He was the last person to call another girl in Orange County. It set off the red flags. Suspect in another girl's disappearance and then suddenly in the same gas station as Alexis right before she vanishes?
The LE had a good reason to zero in on him...now they must have found incriminating evidence.

about 35 to 40 minutes south of Ch'ville...

Great Avatar, Moxie :) :
