Mystery, Amber received a call. The caller wanted her to meet him at the Holiday Express. She said no. This occured a few weeks before she disappeared. It is speculated that the caller was the killer. The hotel is the same one MW was last seen.

You know I never thought about it I just always assumed the reason he tried twice with Amber was cause she wasn't a native. Her family wouldn't know right away she was missing. All the other girls were either from out of town or had moved there.
Other wise we don't really know for sure he didn't hound the other girls. Maybe once he picked on he was persistent. But I think he stalked em personally.

That is the same Holiday Inn Express that a SCPD detective wanted me to go there to get the goods on his allegedly prostitute girlfriend he said needed to be discredited as she was pressing charges against him. This happened about 2 years before any of the gals were found at Gilgo. He gave me the phone number to call and he gave me a picture from Backpage to recognize the gal when I got there - if I got there. I never did find out if I was being set up because I didn't go.

One mistake I think he made was the picture of the alleged girlfriend was a knock-out of a young woman. If she was peddling her butt she wouldn't be peddling it on BackPage, the HI XPress, and wouldn't be doing it for a couple of hundred bucks as the tariff demands at a seedy hotel.

Amber wouldn't tell Dave who she was going out with that night, does anyone else think it might have been someone dave knew and the killer acted like maybe he was embarrassed or wanted to keep his friend dave from knowing he was hiring amber? Dave worked as fisherman out of captree marina right? What if the killer was one of his fishing buddies? It's been claimed that Hackett's son also worked at captree marina. It was suggested from the get go the killer could be a clammer as they use burlap. There is a clamming connection as well to the Ac murders:

Now I brought up 57 in another thread, Lenny's Clam bar and GBI both serve seafood...could they have a supplier in common?
The killer clearly has a tattoo fetish as well. Dave Schaller is a Fisherman covered in tats, I bet he has friends who are fishermen covered in tattoos as well. Maybe one of his friends a clammer/fisherman is the one who called Amber and that's the reason she wouldn't tell him. We should look into this Captree Marina angle...who has more info on DS being a fisherman?

Under Penn Station is Tracks Raw Bar. Where do Raw Bars get their clams and other seafood from? I'm thinking that GBI, Lenny's and Tracks all might be getting their clams/seafood from same guys. Gilgo and Penn are pretty far apart, but the killer is obviously traveling to both. Wonder if he's bringing food to Tracks on Thursday and Sunday which I think is when the calls came from Penn. These two guys from Queens are very intriguing and I wonder if one was the drifter? The drifter was claimed by a well respected poster here to be a Tugboat captain, was the drifter a tugboat captain? Was he a fisherman? anyone have info on he tugboat captain?????!

That's a good theory about seafood delivery days, LL6. Dear son delivers his seafood to different locations on the same schedule each week. The Thursday-Sunday schedule of calls sounds more like a commercial fisherman/ charterboat Captain/fish delivery to me. Another thing that makes me think fisherman is that MB's boyfriend(?) said the caller sounded drunk and most charter captains I know are heavy drinkers. Drugs are a no no on boats because the CG and other law enforcement can board at any time. Not sure if they are subject to random drug testing but my guess is yes.

I'm still not ruling out a Doc or someone with access to prescription drugs. The addictive crap that is prescribed these days is ridiculous. all MOO

Thanks for the info matilda. What's the relationship between tugboats and fishermen? The drinking is a good tip. I was thinking that the killer may have gone to tracks raw bar and grill, possibly if he had to make a delivery, and then got drunk at the bar. He's nice and drunk and then he makes the calls cause he can't resist. But transportation becomes a whole issue, if he is delivering seafood, he'd have to drive to Penn Station. But he's drunk when he makes the calls so how is he driving back home? Is an alcoholic that is so used to driving drunk he's not getting pulled over? I don't know it's a confusing scenario

Not that it means anything but its funny you say this about a person who fits the profile in oak beach but isn't JB because for a couple years now I've had random dreams whwhere the killer was an oak beach resident but it wasnt JB, pak, GC, or the doctor but it was a doctor just not the obvious one. It was always a blue house. Lol I obviously have read to much and been all up in the lisk case a bit much.

I'm not sure if he is the person that comment is referring to and I think he has an address showing up in NM (bone collector!). He was gadget's early poi because of the burlap hanging in his living room. Can anyone find out wha kind of doc he was? You have Scoliosis man, the surgical staples on John Doe 2000 and the surgery on FI jane Doe. So a surgeon/doctor could be a very real possibility for sure. Listen to your dreams.
