Have you seen the reports of decapitated dogs that were found in garbage bags at the killer's dump site of North St in Wading River?

To those who suggested contacting FBI, I agree that's probably the best route to go. I'm embarrassed for the Suffolk county police. They completely blew it on this one. It's sickening too because they are one of the highest paid police forces in the entire country. Some of these guys were pulling in way over 6 figures with overtime, years ago. There's also so much corruption. Been like that for years. Don't know if any of you have heard of Marty Tankleff. I'm sure most from the area have but those who are out of state/out of the country, should definitely read up on his case. It's fascinating. Especially his book. He was wrongly accused of killing his parents and spent the better half of his life in prison and was recently exhonorated. His books speaks a lot about the corruption in the police and judicial system here in Suffolk county.
Very interesting......weird.....one of Bittrolffs relatives is FB friends with Marty......
Don't know if you're from Long Island but even with such a large population, it's still one of those places where "it's a small world". It's doesn't surprise me that they know one another.
Yes I do remember the case. I saw it on one of those shows in ID channel. Cannot remember which.
to LL6 I can imagine it because Dahmer was doing it at a young age and basically for his whole life. He started with animals. My POI has boiled the skin off of a cat (that he claims to have found already dead) so he can keep the skull. He was in his 20's when he did so. In fact, he had an entire collection of various animal skulls. One day, I noticed the skeleton of a cat under my mom's house. When I told my POI he got excited and drove out to my mom's house to take it. At the time I didn't think much of it but looking back, it was creepy.
Hey Notorious,
Thanks for sharing all this info with us - sounds like you're on to something for sure.
Do you know if your POI was ever into drugs or dealing at all?
Thanks.
I've read Kim Overtsreet said that Amber took the LIRR everyday into the city to score heroin. Always thought this was important
Hi there. Honestly at this point I don't know. I try to keep my distance from him. I know he used to use drugs but I'm not sure about selling them. If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to know specifically about drugs? Is it because of what Kimberly Overstreet said?
I wonder if she went down by port authority to score...
Well that's very very significant because I believe the male victims are from a methadone clinic
I don't know if there is much of open air drug market at all in times square. I always doubt she was out on the street looking for heroin, she would have most likely had a regular dealer who she would either meet or go to his apt. It's possible she could have met around port authority (LIRR goes to Penn though) and done a hand to hand transaction not the street but there are a lot of cops. He might have had a car and she got off the train and hopped in his car to score. The areas of NY where heroin is more prominent are the LES, way up in Washington Heights and parts of Brooklyn. It all depends who her dealer was. Almost all heroin deals these days are delivery in NY, where you call up a dealer and he comes to you. But there are still streets run by gangs who deal who deal drugs on the block just not common anymore. So I'm not sure what part of the city she was going to cop but I was always curious about this, especially if she was going there everyday as her sister claimed
DS named a park in Manhattan where they got their drugs. I dont remember the name of the park. I think I read it in Lost Girls.

On the last day friends saw Amber Lynn Costello alive, she walked out of her North Babylon home with these parting words: "If my sister calls, tell her I love her."
It was Sept. 2, 2010.
