Video of KC and Baez Crying together to be released UPDATE BAEZ THREATENS TO SUE

  • #421
Who is Baez trying to sue? And why? What's so incriminating on those tapes?! He seems mighty upset for some reason! Hmmmmm?

He looked a little defeated yesterday (even before all his motions were denied). He just had a very worried look on his face that I have never seen before. KC kinda had it too IMO. They both were not their normal cocky and confident selves yesterday in court.

Your statement above is not correct. Even people in jail have some rights to privacy, medical would be one.

Also I know it is hard for some people to believe but their are some innocent people in jail. That is why we have defense attorneys. If you don't believe me check out the Innocent Project. Some of those stories will break your heart and might change you mind about the justice system.

In my opinion, if you are being held in jail but have not had a trial then you are still innocent until the jury/judge find you guilty on the evidence that is submitted.

I doubt any of those cases being reviewed by the Innocence Project included at least eight defense attorneys and a multitude of experts including Henry Lee and Werner Spitz at trial. Just sayin'...

As for privacy, I don't think most here were commenting on KC's lack of privacy but instead were concerned about the lack of privacy afforded to witnesses such as Amy, TL, JG, etc. But you do have a point in that KC is afforded some very minimal privacy, it's my understanding. The medical team would be bound by HIPPA. For the most part, however, she has no privacy, including when using the bathroom, and this is due to her own choices.

As a fan of Turbothink's posts, I think a generalization was being made therein indicating the same: She gave up (virtually all) rights to privacy when she murdered her daughter, or at the least, when she was jailed for it.

There are innocent people wrongfully in jail or prison, and who got convicted after totally inadequate representation. I wish the people sending money to KC's commissary account would contribute to some fund like the Innocence Project to help them instead.

bolded by me...

ITA....JB uses slang in his motions and during arguments quite a bit. Does he not know the proper courtroom etiquette or the proper language to use in his motions? And citing a news article is laughable!

Instead of addressing Judge S as "Your Honor" he calls him "Judge."

He doesn't ask the court's permission to approach or to confer with ...... whomever.... and he wanders around the courtroom while he speaks....just to mention a few breaches in etiquette.

I think it's inexperience and he's learning as he goes.......
What is shown in the videos that JB REALLY doesn't want us to see? I can only think it's something highly improper, otherwise, why all the fuss?

It really will not surprise me if he gets removed from this case.... in fact, I'm hoping he will get removed. I don't want to see KC granted another trial.....jmo.

And it is really disturbing to know he is teaching at a law school, even if it is a really low tier school.

If the video turns out to be the "licorice" sharing moment between lawyer & client, can somebody just explain to me how long that piece was?

KC :liar:...plexiglass...JB:loser:

Not long enough!!!!!!!!! (joke)

Amen. There are so many efforts that seem so much more deserving of help than KC's licorice fund.

Trying to find something positive about JB
Could he be wandering away from his seat at the table - make sure that the camera follows him rather than focusing on Casey?
Now that so much attention is focused on his competence - yeah he looks scared. This is not what he thought. And they play victim - but that's hard to pull-off when you have Caylee.
I think the parents are now settling into life without Caylee. And now they have many many regrets. Its just taking them longer to get there. And now being removed from Caseys story telling - they are questioning everything. I do feel sorry for them. They have no idea what's in the future for any of them. And again, missing Caylee has got to be tough everyday. JMO

This is something to think about for the skeptics! Casey use to PLAY or do whatever she did in the area where Caylees remains were found. She buried dead pets there. Not many people knew she hung out there. If Baez wants the old boyfriends computer/whatever to pin the murder on him, what happened to ZANNY.
Baez knows shes guilty but as a lawyer hired by KC he has an obligation to represent his paying client no matter what! Why does he stay with the case? Its gone nationwide- everyone knows of KC the A's and little Caylee. It brings or will bring Baez big bucks in the future. The Anthony case is his gravy train.

Brings him big bucks as an attorney? I can't imagine anyone hiring this nut case after this fiasco! Now if he goes off and sales the Casey Anthony story that might net him a few bucks but at what price...then he would not only be the least thought of attorney in the legal field...he would be the most despised man alive. No, I think unless he literally pulls a rabbit out of a hat, he is done for after this case.

It amazes me. Even when he has a valid arguement, such as "please don't release video of a private discussion between lawyer and client", he gets it so wrong. he really doesn't know what he is doing.

As much as I hate JB, there really is no valid reason for video of he and KC crying during a meeting when Caylee's remains to be found to be released. The SA gets their point across with the public area footage of KC reacting to the TV. Publicly releasing any video showing JB and KC together dances dangerously close to violating privelege to no good public purpose. It would be one thing if they had video of improprieties such as the loosely rumored "sharing a twizzler", or the touchy feely moments that JB was warned about. But this particular video serves no purpose except to fed the news shows and give JB something else to grandstand badly about.

Hey Momtective - first let me say thanks for your professional job on NG show.

Don't be so sure...there have been some very marginal folks who end up as TV pundits. Nothing surprises me. I'll bet Jerry Rivers will give him a correspondence shot after this. Geragos has LOST and embarrassed himself, imo, but he's still on TV. Perper is a nut and can't understand a question - had one high profile case and then...there he is in his uneven dome glory on the NG show selling his book???

OT: There is something about Baez that resembles Pee Wee Herman and I just can't shake it.

You can't help but think JB's students are walking out of that class and may be laughing at their instructor during their study groups and are probably getting an education in what not to do when presenting a motion.

I thought the same thing of some other attorneys in high profile cases. It appears that regardless of the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 you represent that as long as you get an acquittal you'll do just fine afterwards. I am curious as to how much control the other "high profile" attorneys in this case have over Baez and KC. I'm really curious to see if Baez handles most of the direct and cross in the non-expert portion of the State's case.

Plus, I would SO love to be a fly on the wall behind closed doors at the SA's office to hear what they REALLY think and say about him. I bet there's a TON of laughing going on.

Watching this whole thing...I really just am waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come out and say "Punk'd" or similar.

I really can't believe that she is going to get adequate representation with JB. It is sad, because it will just open up grounds for appeal later. By not getting information for his client's defense (basically wanting the SA to do everything for him), etc., it just screams 'incompetent representation'.

he does; she has a special pad and her very own pencil too.

We all know what she's writing on that pad...

Casey Baez
Mrs. Casey Baez
Mrs. Jose Baez
Casey & Jose Baez

'cept she's probably misspelling his name!

Maybe it's their have similar manerisms???? I'd have to see JB on a red bike for a more accurate comparison.
