Had not heard about this UID until a recent article sharing photos of unique bracelet in hopes of ID'ing these remains:

NAMUS: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Recent news article with photos of the bracelet (no reconstructions I see):
Roanoke County police release bracelet photos in hopes of identifying body found last summer
Not much information. It looks sort of like a charm bracelet. Some links look like they have letters. Did they spell anything or have any recognizable pattern? Wonder if it had previously belonged to a sister/daughter/partner/etc? Age range is broad, 18-50, but the notes at NamUs say that there was gray, or partially gray hair, maybe suggesting the upper part of that age range.

No clothing description. Being July, maybe they were kayaking/canoeing the river? It looks like an unlikely spot, however, unless they started much further upstream. The dam looks like it requires a long portage. Other parts of the Roanoke River are quite popular for paddling.
