I posted earlier that I didn’t think it was necessarily odd to collect scrap metal as a way to make some money. I asked other members of my family and they felt it was odd. Maybe he was stealing the metal from someone or helping himself and ran into a situation.

Ooh Henry do tell, further down as in older comments or more recent? It always confuses me because older posts are further towards the bottom...hint at initials?

Yes, that is common practice. It would be unethical for one lawyer to represent two clients who are accused of the same crime.

I do like seeing the locals outing information on the Vermont State Police facebook in hopes of solving the whereabouts of Austin. If someone is responsible for Austin's dissapearance I hope that person is arrested.

Sadly, his family and girlfriend are broken-hearted and desperate to find him. I do hope they don't get involved with the comments and allow the VSP to do their job.

I saw from a family member they incorrectly posted his birthdate and it is Feb.13th. The same date but different year of my oldest son. So it is a little personal to me.

Incredibly unlikely that Austin was stealing the metal. Folks around here tend to have scrap metal just laying around. In a way it helps them to get rid of it. Besides, even if Austin was picking up something he shouldn’t have, what happened to the person he was with? No one else has been reported missing, and the trailer was dropped and left of the side of the road.

I tried reading the thread too, I did see someone talk about having their home searched by LE but that was a week ago. I can't seem to find recent posts.

And some of them will eat their young and throw you under the bus!

I've noticed in the last 5-6 years there seems to be more unsavory characters than usual. I am really concerned for this young man.
