BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Police are reaching out in two states to find a missing Burlington woman, and they want to hear from you if you've seen her.

Debora Celmer, 46, was last seen in Burlington on Dec. 21 but her parents heard from her Jan. 2 via email asking for money.

Our CBS affiliate in Wisconsin reached out to us after police tracked Celmar's phone to the Milwaukee River.

Did they find the actual phone?

The headline reads as though they did but the article states police tracked Celmar's phone to an area near the Milwaukee River. The latter sounds more like they got a ping. MOO

This is bizarre. Maybe she is leaving her gear at her "camp?" I also wonder if they're certain it was her who sent the email. MOO

She is a teacher and has disappeared before.

On Thursday, the staff of B-CC’s student newspaper and its website created a webpage where students, staff and community members could leave messages of support for Deborah Celmer.

“Yours would be the true homecoming we all are rooting for,” one comment says.

Others wrote that they were worried about Celmer’s safety and pleaded for the teacher to let them know she is safe.

“Every day, I offer my sincerest prayers and hopes for the well-being and safe return of Ms. Celmer. I am a new teacher here at B-CC and Ms. Celmer went out of her way to welcome me to this community,” one comment says. “She gave me advice for various educational challenges and I am so grateful for her thoughtfulness.”

Celmer has been employed with MCPS and worked at B-CC since 2016.

I can't find anything else, but there is a Missing People in America FB post update on 2/15/21 that says Family reports "She was found a year ago and is safe". I hope that is true!
