Vermont State Police are searching for a 29 year old woman after she was the passenger in a vehicle that crashed into a guard rail. When rescuers arrived at the scene, both driver and passenger were seen walking away from the vehicle.

SNIPPED FROM ARTICLE:

Rescuers stopped to check out the vehicle and make sure there were no more people involved who needed medical attention, then went to find the two women. Police said the two women were out of rescuers sight just a very short period of time

A little way down the road, they found Duda (the driver) just getting out of the Lower Great Brook, but Bailey was not with her.

Searchers assume that Bailey also went into the brook, and searched the banks of the stream. She was not found.

The driver of the vehicle has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

The state police also searched for Krystal today and found nothing.

This woman is still missing. She jumped into a brook to presumably to evade law enforcement after a car crash. This was in northern VT in February into high, rough, boulder strewn, freezing icy water in the dark. Extremely dangerous. Terrifying. It is not unreasonable to presume drowning in that water. However, this is a brook, 10-15 feet across, knee deep most of year, and which flows into and through the center of the village. Mill town houses line the brook edge. The Winooski river into which the brook flows into is also fairly narrow and shallow in that area. Plenty of fishing, canoeing and kayaking during the warm months. It is very puzzling that no body or remains have been found in the 3 years since the event. Not difficult to search.

<<Searchers found several personal items belonging to Bailey as they searched the Great Brook and a significant portion of the Winooski River in Plainfield. The waterways were running high, swollen by melting snow.>>
