Health Foods aka "All Good Things" dated 1 day before and 2 months after Lynne's disappearance. The store next to where Lynne was last seen.

Also, interesting how Richard Durst changed the name of the health store just after Lynne disappeared.

His obit in the nyt was a good long discussion of this eccentric, and I think-evil- man.

I do not think Kathy, his wife and Lynne knew each other. I think Kathy arrived in Vermont/Upstate NY after Lynne disappeared.
But I have always thought they looked alike.... and wondered if Richard felt that as well!!!

Durst was clearly nuts, and a both a serial killer and serial liar. The fact that Lynne Schulze was last seen in and near his store before her disappearance points strongly to Durst as a suspect.

The following is a timeline of the day she disappeared:
7:45 AM Lynne’s roommate leaves and Lynne is still sleeping.
12:30 PM Lynne is seen by a fellow student outside a building that houses the bus station and a local health food store, All Good Things , on Court Street in Middlebury. She is eating dried prunes that she purchased at All Good Things and says she is going to New York, but the bus has already left. Lynne walked back to campus with a fellow college student.
12:45 PM Lynne is seen by a friend and fellow student in her dorm room. The two have a final exam together at 1:00 PM. Lynne does not want to talk about the exam, and is distracted and looking for her favorite pen.
12:50 PM Lynne is seen by the same friend and is still in her dorm room.
12:55 PM Lynne is no longer in her dorm room and the friend goes to the final exam.
1:00 PM Lynne did not take her final exam.
2:15 PM Lynne is seen standing on Court Street by another fellow college student. She is across from the bus station and the health food store. This is the last time she is ever seen.

In July 2012, police received an anonymous tip that Robert Durst owned a health food store in Middlebury around the time of Lynne's disappearance. In 2015, Durst was arrested on a first-degree murder charge of Susan Berman, his longtime friend, who was killed in 2000. In 2003, he was acquitted in the 2001 dismemberment death of his neighbor while living in Texas. Durst has long been suspected in the 1982 disappearance of his first wife, Kathie Durst. While Durst is not a suspect in Lynne's disappearance, police are investigating a possible link.

Durst still had ties to NYC; his father's real estate business was there. If he was involved in her disappearance and presumed murder, he might have tried to lure her there with promises of a high paying job in the family business. When she missed her bus, he could've picked her up himself, taking her down the road of no return. I understand she was not happy at college and she would've thought this was her chance to strike out on her own without waiting 3 and half years to graduate/get her degree. MOO.

If she was indeed in front of All Good Things at 2:15pm and the exam started at 1pm, it says to me she had no intention of taking the exam. It follows missing it was planned (and not that she was iffy but headed to it then made a last second decision to turn back). The exam is what - an hour or hour and a half? So if she was intending to get a certain bus, she already knew it and what time. Routes for the day would be known to investigators. If she missed it, what are the chances she could 1) pop in to AGT and Durst was there, AND 2) he was able to drop everything and take her somewhere?

So...what if she had already planned a ride with Durst? We know he had ties to NY, but that's not to say that's where he might've been headed that day. What if he'd told Lynne he would take her home? If she was stressed about school or wanted to drop out, she might not tell her roommate/friends. But missing the exam wouldn't bother her and make sense, as would going straight home (w/o her stuff). She may have been tunnel-visioned on going home for family support, thinking she'd possibly start up again in the next year. We're not talking international distances, so perhaps she envisioned coming back with her parents in the next day/s for her stuff and left with the clothes on her back.

Durst doesn't strike me as a savvy stranger abductor, let alone someone who relied on sheer overpowering. But he was b@t5h*t crazy so who knows. If he was involved, I think Lynne willingly got in a car with him, either for a ride home, or maybe just to go smoke some weed and blow off responsibilities for the day. Either way, I think she knew him enough to go. You never know about families behind closed doors, but I don't think she intended to leave her family forever in the dark.

I have always believed she and Durst knew of each other or were friendly. Perhaps she confided to him about being homesick or wanting to travel to New York so he offered her a ride. I could totally see it being planned. I do not believe she intended to leave her family either. My guess is she got into Durst’s car that afternoon and he might’ve killed/dumped her anywhere between Vermont and NY.

On top of the location and timing, another thing that stays with me about Durst is his infamous hot mic comment during his trial...."killed them all, of course." ALL. Not both. So, likely not just Susan Berman and Morris Black ("both"), or Susan Berman and Kathie Durst ("both"). Semantics lead me to believe he was talking about 3 or more, so Susan, Kathie and Morris. And potentially Lynne. Even worse, possibly more.

Durst is despicable, so I wouldn't be surprised if he attacked her for whatever sexual reason... because she resembled an old lover, curiosity, etc. He was a strange guy, so it's believable that he approached a woman, she rejected him, and he reacted out of a damaged ego... I hadn't heard about her case until now. I assume she's still missing and was never found?
Durst has also been considered a possible suspect in the disappearance of a couple of young women, but the Lynne Schulze case is one that occurred long before the problems with his wife...

Is Lynne the Heckscher Park Jane Doe? (Lynn left, Doe right)

If she is, the likeness isn't perfect, the Doe's upper lip's a little too fleshy and the space between nose and mouth is a little exaggerated. But jmo generally it does look like her, and the circumstances do seem creepily to line up.

People speculate there's some tie-in with Heuermann possibly with this Doe. If the Doe was killed 1975 or prior, I don't see how that's possible, Heuermann's 12, so if they do suspect a Heuermann tie in, the situation's a lot more complicated than is currently known.

Lynne was last seen outside a health food store owned by convicted murderer Robert Durst (worth $100 million before conviction) in Middlebury VT. Someone said Lynne had said she was going to New York that day when she went missing in December 1971.

Durst Organization has worked with many, many NYC architectural firms. Heuermann's wife was vacationing at one point up in Jeffersonville VT, which is about an hour away from Middlebury, where Lynne went missing.
