Here in Vermont, a Police Chief was fired over an incident were two non-violent protesters were tasered.

Another reason not to like tasers..
It seems that people are more likely to be trigger happy using a taser since they are as lethal as a firearm. I think it's just another gadget to make things "easier" for lazy people.
