A man in Vermont is accused of murdering his friend because of damage to a paper clip Christmas tree that his girlfriend made him. The friend was shot 4 or 5 times.

It sounds like there were two separate assaults. It's a shame they are letting him out on bail.

Wow, is all I can say. Wow. The victim must have been getting on his nerves and the paper clip ornament just threw him totally off.

Filly, your comment, for some reason, completely amused me! I can just see it, first the toilet paper was placed rolling in the wrong direction...then his laugh got on his nerves. And that paperclip tree - THAT was the last straw!!!

It's hard to imagine anyone with such a short fuse actually having children to care for - I mean, i love my kids and they definitely get on my nerves on a very regular basis, but who doesn't?? It's people like this that I wish weren't allowed to reproduce - ever.

Seven to fifteen years! He will be out in probably two and a half years. That is nothing and it sure wasn't justice for the man he murdered or that man's family. What a shame that he got away with murder.
