Good God! This scumbad obviously felt he could ride round on his little bike doing exactly as he pleased! Hopefully this will be the time when the law does as it should and on a more bitter note, lets hope everyone in his prison gets to know the full reason hes there!

CNN has video of this human waste in court. It is hard to watch, my heart breaks for the victim & his family.

OMG! When I saw the video on Fox (early this afternoon) they just played the video without sound, and didn't give much back story to it. Thank you for posting the links and video everyone. My heart aches for these victims. Maybe everyone was afraid to report him because he's obviously a violent man.

Melee breaks out after arraignment of accused killer


A family friend, identified in court papers as C.L., told police he saw Christmas ride up on his bicycle and approach Wilkins.

"Don't shoot; don't shoot," Wilkins said, according to C.L.

"How do you like me now?" Christmas said after he shot him, according to the affidavit.

The killing was witnessed by Wilkins' children -- ages 9, 12 and 14. Christmas, who rode his bicycle home, was arrested without incident there by state police.

At the risk of repeating the obvious, this is a nice find DS, and thanks for bringing it here for discussion. Amazing how much devastation one man can inflict on multiple generations. For some of the kids, the wounds will never heal. He has easily managed to outscore Michael Vick on the absolute human garbage index (HGI). However, multiplying the HGI by the number affected (HGI X # affected = Total Garbage Score, or TGS), MV is still the top dawg on the dung pile. Bad newz all around for everyone involved.

The interpersonal (used loosely) and interfamilial dynamics here are as sick as any I've seen or read. This is a multigenerational nightmare.

Well this is what I have so far, I will try my best to type all of this out.

Christmas and Wilkin's married sisters. Christmas is Harrington's son-in-law and Wilkin's is Harrington's former son-in-law.



At approximatley 5:50pm on sunday, Ronald Wilkins was sitting on a swing in the back yard of Ken Harrington's home. Wilkins is Harrington's former son-in-law. Wilkins went to Harrington's home with his 2 children so that they could visit with Harrington. The children brought their swimsuits with them to swim in the pool with Harrington during the visit.

While Wilkin's was sitting on the swing watching his children with their grandfather, Michael Christmas, Harrington's son-in-law rode his bike to Harrington's home, to in Christmas's own words "kill the person who was his biggest pain." Christmas thought that his daughter was going to "rat him out" for his molestation of her since she was a small child. He had with him a 9mm pistol. He then went into the backyard and shot Wilkin's 5 times as he sat on the swing. Christmas did this in front of Wilkin's children. Wilkin's said "Don't shoot; don't shoot,". Christmas shot him and then stated "How do you like me now". 14-year-old Chris Loomis (he witnessed the shooting) said this;
"Pretty scary," "He came right up through a little trail, and he was carrying a 9 millimeter, and he shot him while all the kids were sitting right there."

Christmas then got back on his bike and went to his home a short distance away. The weapon was found in Christmas's bedroom by police..


Apparently prior to going to Harrington's home, Christmas and Wilkin's saw each other at the Shaftsbury hoedown.
The Shaftsbury hoedown was taking place a block away from Harrington's home. Harrington stated that there were no bad feelings between the two when they saw each other there. Although the police reported that the two had a long standing feud.
During the hoedown, Christmas saw a relative, a person who lives with Christmas and his wife Tina.
(Christmas admitted sexually molesting a relative, when she was between 8 and 13, he was not charged.)
She told him she planned to "take the baby back".
"Christmas felt that (the relative) was going to talk about the previous molestation,"
"Christmas, believing his life was going to be turned upside down, decided he was going to kill the person who was his biggest pain." according to the affidavit

So when interviewed, Chairman of the Select Board Wynn Metcalfe said the following on sunday;
"The hoedown was not affected".

"We knew what was happening but it didn't seem to have an impact" (on the hoedown).
He also went to the scene and was pleased with the response from the police. Sorry fellow Websleuthers, but I really have to at that whole thing from the Chairman.

So when it was discovered in court what really happened, chaos happened in the courtroom. Wilkin's girlfriend had an very emotional response to the discovery. Christmas plead not guilty to First Degree Murder and 3 counts of aggravated sexual assualt.Wilkin's girlfriend Pam Conley (the mother of his children) was emotional in court and called him a"gutless" f***er.

She also said;
"You stole my kid's father. You stole a good man. You are a worthless piece of s**t,"
A relative of Christmas said this;
"He's a good man, too,"

Yes, and it's sooooo very sad for all involved. The whole family dynamics was disturbing to read. I just can't fathom there are really families like that! "Damaged Forest" is so appropriate for this family D_S. I just need to pray and pray for the children.

What I get out of all the articles is this knew he was going to jail for a very long time. So he says what the He++ I might as well take out my most hated enemy shoots him (Wilkins) goes home and waits for the police. This is absolutely amazing that he could get away with molesting all these children where the he++ were the adults? And the woman he lives with "wife" allowed this shi+. I am guessing here but do you think it was his wife that was attacked by Wilkins live in girl friend in court? I am praying for divine intervention that this creep has a massive heart attack, Immediately.

Thank-you for commenting on that. Yes you were reading it right. He also walked to the scene. I cannot believe that I typed all that out from the newspaper I had bought and could find an article online at the time (I had to use my own words when typing so that I would not violate terms for not having a link). Well here is the online article and this is what the chairmen of the hoedown said and did.......



Although the shooting happened only a block away from the Shaftsbury hoedown, Wynn Metcalfe, chairman of the Selectmen, said the event was not affected.
"We knew what was happening, but it didn't seem to have an impact," Metcalfe said Sunday.

He said he went down to the scene of the murder and was pleased with the response from police. By the time he got there, he said, Bennington Police, state police and the Bennington County Sheriff's Department all were there.

One thing that is confusing to me is did anyone even know about the children being molested before the murder? The way they talk about him being afraid that his dau was going to bring the info out makes me think that probably no one knew yet. Like maybe she was threatening to tell.

If I am right, then it is even more horrible. Not only did he kill the father...but after killing him in front of everyone, then everyone finds out that he also molested the kids.

It was not brought up about the molestations before the killing. No one knew about it because the children were afraid to say anything to anyone.

So the children are trying to cope with not only the murder of their father in front of them, they are also trying to cope with the fact that they now have to talk about their fear of the man, their 'secret' and what was done to them. Their family is not only trying to cope with the grief of losing one of their own, they are also trying to cope with the fact that their children were not only harmed- but also had been living with fear and trying to comfort them on all levels.

I was thinking about his family last night. Maybe they haven't had time to absorb it all yet, maybe in time they will come to the understanding of what it was that he chose to do. It was said that they had said he was a good man. Maybe he used to be a good man. He may have been a good provider- but he endangered that when he chose to commit the crime of molesting his own child, he further endangered that when he chose to molest other children, and he deciminated that when he chose to kill another. He may have once been a good father- but he deciminated that when he chose to molest his own daughter. He may have once been a good friend/relative- but he deciminated that when he chose to molest a relative's child (could there be other children harmed? maybe their own?) and he also deciminated that when he chose to put them in the position that they feel they have to defend him against the heinous crimes that he has allegedly admitted to having committed! His accusers didn't have choices, they only have reaction to the crimes left. He had choices, and he didn't think of or didn't care how they (his own family and friends) would feel or possibly be harmed when he made his choices.

It has been stated that the girlfriend of the accused killer is standing by him and that she was in the courtroom when the brawl broke out. (She was not the one that quoted that he is a good man.) But she is said to be standing by her man.
