Those are all pretty interesting; Paula being the marquee case I think.

I would guess that the guy on the bus woke up and got off not realizing it was not his destination. He was probably expecting the driver to get out and hand him his luggage, but the operator, not knowing anyone had gotten out, simply drove off. The bus would have to be one that had a side door of course. Who knows what happened after that. Maybe he was killed by someone who picked him up hitchhiking.

Yes, hadn't heard of it till puttering around the internet tonight. Actually, Ms. Langer was eventually found, but does seem to have disappeared for a bit -- seven-month search for the body and eventually found in an allegedly well-searched area.
