Aiden R. Knowles was last seen in Brier, Washington on March 24, 2016. He has never been heard from again.

Both the Charley Project page and the WSP poster say the contact agency is the Mason County Sheriff’s Office. This is confusing to me since Aiden was last seen in Brier, which is not in Mason County (and isn't even really that close to Mason County). I can't find much information on Aiden. It's sad. He looks like a sweet kid.

I meant to reply back when you posted this - that IS curious about Mason Co vs. Snoho Co as contact agency. I see his name also spelled Aidan in some places, but still don't have a darn thing to share.

From the local high school newsletter, May 6, 2016:

"An Invitation by the Knowles Family: The Knowles family will be holding an event to honor Aidan on Sunday, May 15th at 5pm at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. The event is open to anyone who would like to attend. Attendees will have the opportunity the share a story or memory of Aidan if they wish. In lieu of flowers, the family like to create a foundation in Aidan's name to support young creative writers and will be accepting donations"

The text from the school newsletter kind of makes it sound like he died (as opposed to a vigil type of event for a missing person). I can't find a death certificate listed for him in the state of WA, though.

I'm very confused by this. I went to school with him and we were told he committed suicide and then now I'm seeing these missing posters. They used to have an obituary and his fb account was still up but now I can't locate either.

I am literally dumbfounded by this comment. I live in WS and I try to keep up with MP cases to be informed and I’ve always been interested in this case but whenever I try to look anything up I can find absolutely nothing. Reading your comment have me chills- I wonder what is happening

I went to school with him when we were kids. As far as I know he was filed as a missing person, but they later found a note in his room and his shoes and phone at the top of either a bridge or cliff above water.

It seems Mackey has some more information. If they don't have his body then that makes sense but I'm confused as to why he was first declared dead and then missing. I believe his passing was in the edmonds newspaper and so on so forth. Either way, I'd definitely prefer him missing. I was only friends with him in middle school - in high-school, we only had 1 class together so we didn't talk as much and our friendship waned off. I know one of his close friends that he would hang out with all the time - I haven't spoken to her in years but I almost want to ask her what she knows about the situation.
