According to this article the car was found in the driveway. Also, it seems she lives in Edmonds.

"The search and rescue operation for missing Edmonds resident Amy Kennelly resumed at 8 a.m. Thursday morning in the Town of Woodway. Algonquin Road will be closed from North Deer Drive to Woodway Park Road while the search continues, Edmonds police said. Kennelly’s car was found in the driveway… "

I wonder where she lives. I am not able to find an address for her, other than one site that still lists her on Algonquin Road. Perhaps she is someone's roommate.

so sad. Rip Amy. :(

Oh no. I really thought they might find her lying low due to some sort of drug-related event. This is so sad.

Thinking of Amy and her boys. Very appreciative of the candor on the part of her son, Matt, regarding his mom's struggles. RIP, Amy.

This is just so sad.
She has four sons.
This is devastating for them.
Poor lady. :rose:[emoji885]

Oh so sad.
May she rest in peace.

From the news it does seem as though no one else was involved and there are no suspicious circumstances. I wonder if she had a head injury as a result of the crash? Is this more likely than a spur-of-the-moment, my-life-is-a-mess suicide? Would a drug user have a sufficient amount on them to make an OD possible?

Could be a matter of taking a bottle of Xanax or even aspirin. Was probably not in her right mind and probably had no idea what she was doing. I have a close family member who did something similar. They were so out of it they had no idea what they were doing. The clothing in the yard is really telling to me.... So sad :( Rest in peace. Prayers for her family.

Can anyone suggest why there hasn't been a formal ID announced yet? We know she has family nearby to identify her, but as far as I can see, local news outlets are still saying that the body is "thought to be" that of Amy Kennelly. I am sure they are doing toxicology testing, but that shouldn't hold up the ID, should it?

I am not suggesting anything is weird or wrong. It just seems odd and I would like to understand.

Maybe because she is associated with a prominent family in the area they are being extra sensitive to the family regarding details. Her son was very honest about some of the struggles that went on in her life but I'm sure others don't appreciate his openness.

Sure, I can absolutely understand not broadcasting details. But they won't even confirm that it's Amy. Seems strange.

This news station outright says the body found was that of Amy: http://www.king5.com/story/news/local/2016/03/03/search-underway-missing-edmonds-woman/81254550/?c=n
But the article's from yesterday when other MSM was saying "pending ID," etc., so I'm thinking they jumped the gun a little in reporting this.

Thanks for this. Interesting that no one else is reporting it. I don't know why I'm so fixated except that I am a local, my sister drives that road every day, and I have always been fond of Kennelly Keys music stores. I am so sad for her family and I hope they, at least, have the answers they need.

They had the address on the newscast so it seems like she was found next door to where her car was which has been reported that it was her old home.

Edit--I'm sorry I misspoke. I think it was the place across the street from where she hit the garage door.

Edit again--This is confusing. I guess homes/property address dont match up but house numbers are even on the same side of the road so maybe it was just right next door.

Well I didn't see this coming. I was really hoping she was hiding somewhere til she sobered up as it didn't sound like the accident was serious enough to cause life threatening injuries. I'll very interested in the COD.

Prayers for her family.
