I am reading a book currently that has the case file from this case within it. There’s also a picture of Douglas. The book is called Beyond Shadows by Brandon Janisse. It has quite a few cold case stories from the Olympic peninsula in Washington. There is some great information in there. Fascinating.
As in many other cases, the husband is the culprit here... but I always wonder... why kill her? Why not just let her be happy on the other hand with someone else? Are they so few men that they feel their miserable pride of being a man who has been taken over? Do they take it so personally? How many deaths could be avoided? How many children would be left with their mother if these poor devils had their heads? I also find it strange that the radar indicated that there was something when they searched but when they dug they found nothing? Wasn't the husband a friend or did he know any of the policemen?
