I wonder if he was killed there at the house? Why would that man go to the trouble of getting rid of bloody flooring and things if he was just going to leave his body. RIP Mr. Zomalt

"There were a ton of cop cars," said Jared Cunningham, who watched as detectives searched the home. "They burst through and took the dog, and it was clear that whatever happened—the body was in the garage area."

The body is believed to be Brandon Shane Zomalt, according to information obtained by Pierce County and Auburn Police. Neighbors said they haven't seen him in weeks...

Investigators want to speak to Michael Boiselle, who lived in the home with Zomalt. Neighbors said Boiselle hasn't been seen in days.

A warrant was issued for Zomalt's arrest out of Pierce County in June. He has a history of domestic violence and other crimes. However, friend Chris Williamson hopes that's not how Zomalt is remembered.

"He wasn't just an angry guy with an arrest record but a father of four, a loyal friend and he was a top notch guy you wanted to be around," said Williamson.

Investigators want to speak to Michael Boiselle, who lived in the home with Zomalt. Neighbors said Boiselle hasn't been seen in days.

There are two new developments since a body, believed to be Brandon Zomalt, was found Tuesday in the garage of a Puyallup home on Military Road East.

The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office confirms the body was shot multiple times. And thanks to vigilant neighbors, detectives impounded a navy Cadillac Wednesday.

It's the same one neighbors said belonged to Michael Boiselle, who rents the home where the body was found. The car was abandoned behind a Rite Aid less than a mile from the home.

The roommate of the man whose body was found in a South Hill home last month has been charged with first-degree murder and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Michael Clifford Boisselle is accused of fatally shooting Brandon Shane Zomalt last month and later disposing of evidence in Auburn, according to the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Boisselle, 34, is still at large, Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said.

Using information from the original witness, detectives were able to track down the SUV to a woman named Lola Patterson.

When contacted by police, Patterson said her son, Boisselle, frequently borrowed the SUV. She also said he lived at the home were Zomalt's body was found, and that the murder victim had been staying with him, according to court documents.

Patterson said she hadn't spoken to her son since August 31, when he told her he was leaving the area and would not be in contact with her.

A South Hill-area man charged with killing an unwanted house guest and burning the evidence along an Auburn road was arrested Friday.

A warrant was issued in September for Michael C. Boisselle, 34, but investigators had trouble finding him. It could not be determined Friday where Pierce County sheriff’s detectives had found him.

Boisselle will be arraigned next week on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Brandon Zomalt, 30.

If the killer is a registered SO, for child molestation in particular, could Brandon have had his kids while around Boisselle, leading to the confrontation that ended in Zomalt' s vicious murder? Just a thought I had reading this thread. I do not think Boisselle would volunteer this info and Zomalt probably had no idea this guy was dangerous to kids. JMO

South Hill man guilty in roommate’s shooting death - May 2016

http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/crime/article79432482.html

A jury convicted a man of second-degree murder Monday in the shooting of his South Hill roommate.

Michael Boisselle, 36, argued at trial that he shot 30-year-old Brandon Zomalt in self-defense in August 2014.

Boisselle initially was charged with first-degree murder and second-degree murder, which meant jurors had to decide whether the shooting was premeditated.

After deliberating Monday morning, jury members said they’d fail to agree on the question — seven believed the death was premeditated, and five did not.

That meant Boisselle was convicted of the lesser crime of second-degree murder.

Man who killed South Hill roommate sentenced to more than 21 years - June 2016

Michael Boisselle argued in court Wednesday for the second time that he killed his roommate in self-defense.

For the second time, the argument was rejected, leading to Boisselle being sentenced for shooting 30-year-old Brandon Zomalt in 2014.

Superior Court Judge Jerry Costello sentenced the South Hill man to more than 21 years in prison for the killing.
