Does the surveillance imagines look like 3 different people vs. 2 (man and woman) that police are wanting to locate?

I thought that at first, but the first picture and the third are the same person. Someone wearing really short shorts.

so where are the parents of this baby? Are they missing, too? This is really a strange one.

ETA: and who reported her missing? was it the grandfather?

Did she just go missing today, or was it last Friday?

I am sorry, but this one is confusing to me.

I don't get a good feeling about this. If the couple on surveillance were known to the mother wouldn't she recognize them from the footage? If you "found" a baby wouldn't you turn her into the police or fire station by now? They've had her for over 11 hours now.

Police have released surveillance video of a man dressed in black, and a woman dressed in pink around 2:45 a.m. They appear to be walking away with a stroller that the missing baby was in. SPD notes that they are not currently criminally investigating the couple.

Police said they have received differing accounts from witnesses. Officers report they’ve been in contact with the mother and family members.

Let's hope that the couple just took the baby to keep her safe. They may be afraid that the baby will be returned to her mother and a life style that endangers the infant.

What the H is wrong with people? This baby is sleeping ON the street and people do nothing? Where did we wake up, Calcutta?

Seattle - and surrounding areas - experienced tremendous population growth recently.

We have a housing shortage, thousands of homeless people in the city; and mental health and drug abuse crises are epidemic.

It's not exactly Calcutta, but it's very hard to find and keep shelter in this city if you have mental health issues and/or drug habits.

I expect to see more incidents of compelling concern.

It's the same here in Portland. I believe the stats are 100-150 people a day move here.

Kiro 7 just ran a segment on this incident.
Mom is 20 y/o. Her grandfather confirmed heroin problem.
She was sleeping with the child on the street in down town Seattle, near Nordstrom's.
Child Protective Services are involved.

I hope the infant can grow up in a loving, stable home, preferably away from the dangers of urban living.

Maybe this baby can go to a home that is safe now. So glad she was found and seems OK.

Officers found Charlette Childress-Imburgia in lower Queen Anne about 2:45 p.m. Friday after getting a 911 call about a woman pushing a black and yellow stroller.

Police confirmed Charlette's identity. Police say she appears to be in good health.

Investigators are talking to the woman who was with her. The woman is known to the baby's mother.

Glad to read that a citizen took the time to call LE upon spotting this stroller! We need more alert citizens willing to get involved in the alerts sent out.

Such a shame that little Charlotte has a drug addicted mother. This baby is in for a rough life more than likely.

Heroin use diminishes the capacity for sound judgment. I hope CPS does place the child with a sober relative or friend, but again, from the social media writings, I believe the infant will still be at risk (of biological parent abduction) because both parents don't mind breaking the law and the bond is too great.

In a perfect world, CPS would place the infant into a secure, loving, stable home and the parents would get treatment for their respective issues; issues that land the father in jail for theft or assault and render the mother incapable of caring for the infant because she's high on some kind of illegal drug.

Should CPS remove them from having custody of the infant, I believe that the same cerebral conditions that get the father incarcerated and her "high" will cause them to take any available shortcut - as opposed to seeking treatment, getting housing, getting a job and "both feet on the ground" - to reunite the infant with the parent(s).

This is a very tough problem to solve. The infant would have to go into something like a witness protection program and the parents would be informed that the only way they get the child back is to work the program to get the issues under control; sobriety for her, anger management and a job for him.

To end on a lighter note: A police officer apparently purchased the bumble bee stroller for the mother.

Off topic (sorry, this is a personal pet peeve) : I do not understand why so many Seattle residents actively denounce the Seattle Police Dept's officers. They do a good job and are constantly getting better at helping members of the community every single day. How do I know? I listen to their radio traffic. I read their reports. They are no longer a VCR (violate civil rights) agency. SPD officers, in their after action arrest reports, very often request that the city attorney refer arrested individuals to mental health court or drug court, both of which actively promote therapy over jail time..... but that's probably for another thread on another forum, perhaps on another website.

For those new here, be careful posting anything from FB, social media. if the parents have not been named by a reliable sauce (LE, news articles, etc), then we arent allowed to discuss them here, or at least not what is in their FB pages. At least this is how I understand it. I would love to be able to discuss the parents and their flaws that are contributing to a sad life for little Charlette....
