Required to wait 30 days or required to comply within 30 days? I just can't see any reason any provider would purposely wait 30 seconds, in an investigation such as this. Their customer is dead. LE calling it under suspicious circumstances. Seems to me that's all it would need for the deceased customer's records to be handed over.

Several years ago (2007), when a local woman was lost, they were able to get cell records within 7 days.

Yes, the husband was the last to see her, so he gave the description of what she was wearing.

I'm even surprised he could remember what she was wearing as she headed out to work. I'm Cheryl's age, long marriage and no disrespect to our male contributors, guys just don't tend to notice what their wives are wearing after so many years together. Especially on a work day. Unless Cheryl tended to wear the same outfit to work most days, or had a strict dress code at her office.

Agree with an earlier poster that the jacket could well have been a casual jacket and not necessarily work type clothing.

To me, wearing a jacket suggests she was either on her way out of the house or was coming back in when he last saw her. If indeed that was actually what she was wearing.

Grid search...bullet shell?

I think that statement from Cmdr Rickard last night about not knowing what happened alluded to their waiting on the autopsy results. This morning, he said the autopsy was now completed, and they were waiting for the medical examiner's report. I am wondering so hard if they have the report yet, and if it points at something in particular - but LE has to have their ducks in a row before they say too much publicly. They are well aware of the interest within the community. I imagine they are carefully figuring out what evidence they have that supports the autopsy (or maybe the autopsy suggested other things for LE to look for, hence closing off the area again) or if there is anyone implicated at this point. I bet by this point they do have a good idea of what happened but are making sure everything is as much in order as possible before they speak publicly.

I am definitely on pins and needles, though I do believe Rickard's statement that there is no need for the community to be afraid.

I have a feeling she might have been strangled. Maybe they are looking for that particular item? Maybe they have that item?
Or maybe they would know what item she was strangled with, if that were the case.
My thoughts point to a specific item, but since we don't know the manner in which she died, I don't want to jump the gun, so-to-speak. (And no it's not a gun...)
Just throwing out thoughts and opinions.
IMOO.

Grid search could be anything - phone, wallet/purse, keys, glasses, weapon, etc. There was an article posted last night (the link is a page or two back) that did say some of her personal items are missing. I assume that means items that *should* have been on her, or with her.

I am theorizing that the other person was in her car. They left the garage area together. I think she was killed quickly (I don't have a guess on motive). I think there was evidence immediately and the police would not release that they knew she had been assaulted in the car. I think perhaps her remains were pushed out of the car as it was pulled over by the side of the road. Quickly.

I don't think she was held. I think what was done was done before her car was dropped off.

And then I think the person drove the car over to that side street and walked to their own car or got on a bus.

I think we're thinking the same things...

But they say they don't know how she died... If it were a bullet shell would they say that?

Hmmm...

Since the autopsy is done, I suspect at this point they DO know how she died - they just haven't released it yet.

In my experience from following cases when LE states the public is not at risk it usually means it's not some stranger running around looking to murder etc. randomly IMO it's somebody Cheryl knew. Subject to change tho

I know many people have said that about their husbands through the various threads I have posted on,that they wouldn't remember what their wives wore or paid attention, and I will say it again about my husband; he would know what I was wearing. And I have been married to him for years. It is who my husband is.
There are men that do remember and take notice. Maybe my husband is one of the exceptions.

I know, but I'm saying when they found her, wouldn't it have been clear she'd been shot? I honestly know nothing about firearms, so I have no idea.

Or maybe they think possible suicide.

I know it's not a theory many here will consider but I can't shake it from my head. The image in the link of the culvert. It's actually quite big, certainly big enough for a person to walk into. Well clearly, her body was found in there.

She could have sent the text to her friend so she wouldn't be waiting for her and so as not to concern her. She then could have just simply switched the phone off and walked away from her car. Jmo of course.

I'm sure many saw Sally Allan's thread at Christmas. It was very sad.
Thankfully, she was captured on much CCTV which proved she didn't come to harm at the hands of anyone else. Nobody that knew her could believe she would take this route. I think Sally had passed away, after a 10-11 mile walk, before her husband had even woken up that morning. [emoji885][emoji257] for Sally.

Do I understand correctly that VOLUNTEERS are searching with LE today?

LE is stalling.....keeping the media at bay.

No cause of death from the M.E., No manner of death from M.E., No time of death from M.E.
All 3 of these things should have already been determined 48 hours into the investigation. You can rest assured that LE already knows the answer to all three.

Keep in mind that this is the same LE crew that refused to identify her after she was found. Only after the coroner had done his thing would they finally come out and confirm who she was. They were pretty much the last ones to admit who it was that had been found in the culvert. This is going to be a "by the book" or "by our protocol" bunch we're dealing with on this one. Don't expect them to deviate or alter anything they were taught to do.

You can expect a lot of bobbing and weaving at the press conferences much like you'd see at a boxing match. No one is going to get a straight answer to a direct question, unless of course it has nothing to do with the investigation such as, "Is the public safe" ? or "Will you guys still be out working tomorrow even if it is raining? "

At this stage they're refusing to admit whether there is foul play involved or if this was a homicide. It's not because they don't know, it's because they don't want you to know. Keep in mind, everything by the book. All I's dotted, all T's crossed---don't divulge anything until we get the "report".

If my fiancé saw me in the morning (we don't always get up at the same time) he would likely remember as well. He's in an artistic career and notices details. I'm not sure about MD, but I believe he could remember.

Mine is the same, notices everything. I could never get away with sneakily buying another pair of shoes and pretending I'd had them ages. ;)
He would be able to say what I was wearing that day, if he'd seen me. I think...

Mine does notice what I'm wearing if we're going out for the evening, but I was thinking about the early morning rush around here when getting ready to go out to work and I'm sure he'd be clueless as to my clothes. 30 years together, he doesn't notice the every day stuff any longer, and I do get away with buying new shoes ;-)

I'll call him at work tomorrow and test him on this!
