Thanks, is that anywhere near where here care was found?

The thoughts & opinions stated above are that, MY random thoughts & opinions.

See post #129 from Stripehaven. There's a map with locations.
It isn't far away, in my opinion.

Am trying to link to a map of the area...shows where her car was found, and you can see where the path runs through Veterans Memorial Park to the Park and Ride.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/23400+58th+Ave+W,+Mountlake+Terrace,+WA+98043/@47.7861671,-122.3133056,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x5490100e1172de07:0x63b4aaad69a54d81

SassyBenton, have you used this P&R? I am actually closer to Brier so don't use the MLT P&R, but I know the area a bit. I hadn't heard anythink sketchy about the area or the park until the case came up. It has been informative.

Bringing your post forward with your map. :)

I have spent the last hour searching for the thread that followed the case of a woman about Cheryl's age, from Michigan, who worked in a hospital setting and had just had her job changed when she set out for a walk... it did not end well, but for some reason Cheryl reminds me so much of that other woman - well, with what limited information we know about folks that we read about and sleuth for here. I could not find her, so maybe that's a sign that the 2 cases are really not at all similar. Cheryl has that look to her, that look that draws you in, makes you want to know her, talk to her... =(

I wonder if all the family members are searching for Cheryl?
Her husband and son were said to have been too grief stricken to speak last night at the press conference.
Did they attend the conference?
I know this must be difficult.
It's sad, really…
Where are you Cheryl?
Hello Treelights!
Reminds me of Susan Jacobson
Husband and son didn't say much anything in her case either!
Susan is still missing!

Ugh! I can't believe she hasn't been found. It sadly smells like foul play to me. I mean it is possible that she chose to disappear for whatever reason. That just means that she would need some sort of financial support. Either saved money or someone is helping her. Far fetched, still possible.
Where are you Cheryl?

I was really hoping something would have turned up by now. They were right on top of getting the word out, flyers everywhere, local news mentioned it multiple times. Still hoping for the best...

"Significant Incidents:
 On 2-8-2016 at 2:40 p.m., Mountlake Terrace officers took a report of a Mountlake
Terrace resident who did not show up for work in Seattle that morning. Her car was
located near the Park-&-Ride where she normally meets a coworker to carpool. The
missing person was not located at home, in the park or at the Park-&-Ride. She did not
return home at the normal time. Detectives responded to assist with the investigation,
which is ongoing. On 2-9-16 Snohomish County Search and Rescue searched the areas
around the Park-&-Ride using numerous volunteers and dogs."

So the Next day after her car was found by the husband, (in another report it mentions the husband found the car on Monday) there were numerous volunteers and dogs searching for Cheryl.

With all the volunteers canvassing the immediate area, including dogs, it is sad that she hasn't been located...
So did she leave the area willingly, or unwillingly?
She doesn't live very far away either...
Sad and strange case...
IMOO.

How many vehicles do they have?
Does she drive the same vehicle every day?

If she did leave voluntarily (which I doubt), and was still anywhere nearby, she would almost certainly be aware of the community searching in force, and plastering the area with fliers. She is on the front page of the Everett Herald. She would have to know how many people are so very worried. Unless she was hiding out from something dire, surely she would let someone know she was OK (given the descriptions of her as being loving, caring, and responsible).

It is interesting that it is still noted:

"She texted her friend around 7:00 a.m., stating that she would catch a bus instead. She has not been seen or heard from since that time."

http://wa-mountlaketerrace.civicplus.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=51

Doesn't the family say that was not her intention to catch the bus, that she was only going to be away about ten minutes to get her badge?

Is there still misinformation out there?
It is very confusing!

IIRC, the family has stated there was never a conversation about catching a bus, cause her friend asked how long she would be, she replied 10 min, and friend said, she would wait for her.

I think it's interesting that her husband found her car. Maybe it's nothing.

I'm worried for her. Her family must be worried sick! She's around my mom's age. I would go crazy if this happened with my mom.

IIRC, Cheryl's husband found her car, so I assumed he was driving around in his car.
