A big welcome to our new locals. You add a unique perspective. I admit the Seattle area is one of my favorite places. I've visited twice in the past year. Thank you for contributing resources we otherwise would not have.

Has the husband spoken out, made a statement, or made a plea for her return?

I was wondering the same thing.
Is he on the street corners holding a sign for Missing Cheryl, too?

Has anyone seen the video with interview with her sister?
If so, can you link it, or tell specifically what was said?

(Replying to my own post because it shows the photo of Cheryl's sister holding the sign.)

This sign that Cheryl's sister is holding states "Cheryl was last heard from heading to the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center."

The sign does not say she was already there. It does not say that she is enroute to home, (the opposite direction.) It states HEADING TO the transit center.

I am noting this because it is Cheryl's sister who is holding that sign.

Unless those words aren't meant to be that specific, and I am reading more into those words...I don't know. If her text was truly made while enroute to the transit center, then it is odd that her car was found parked, considering her badge is still at home. IMOO.

IMOO.

I'm sure people do things differently, but when I get out of the car at work, I review the mental checklist of whether I have everything I need for the day. It's very rare that I get to my office and realize that the keys are in the car, but it has happened (office keys remain in the car because I have no need for them in the house). If she drove to transit centre and parked, and something happened to her in that area, then she must not have completed a mental checklist of whether she had everything she needed before she got out of the car - instead she walked some distance and then remembered the badge. Alternatively, she was looking for her badge while sitting in the car when she texted that she would need an extra 10 minutes to get the badge (this assumes she is 5 minutes driving distance from home). That would suggest that she was accosted after parking the car, while texting, and before she could drive home for the badge.

And that's where my thinking comes in about that badge.
Where did she usually keep that badge?
What was her routine in the mornings?
Does she wear that badge under her coat Before she leaves her house?

For those of you that wear a badge around your neck, do you put it on at home,
or when you get to work? Do you keep it in your purse?

Yes, I can see that people do things differently.
I am retired now. When I was working, I made my mental checklist Before I left the house.
In fact, I am that way now as well. That's just who I am. :)

I obviously have no real idea, but I think it's possible, especially if the investigation is sensitive in that they are investigating the husband, the sister might not yet know exactly where C was when the text was made. In some cases (at least the one I am following) loved ones understandably dismissed any notion that a close family member could be involved, and I think LE was pretty careful about telling the family they had info that showed the husband was likely involved.

Not saying that is the case here. But I am just not sure the sister has a lot of forensic info (ping info) yet, if it points to something happening at home.

My fiancé keeps his by his wallet and keys. He puts it around his neck when he picks up the other items to drive to work.

I keep mine in my handbag, and sometimes I change handbags in the morning (need a larger or smaller one that day) and forget to take it with me and have to get back home again to get it.

Would she even have made it out of the driveway if she left at 7 am and text 2 minutes later that she forgot her badge?

Well, that's kind of my point. That's assuming 7am was in fact when she was last seen (by whom, I guess we still don't know?) and 7:02am was in fact what time her last text was sent. If both of those are accurate, how far did she actually get in 2 minutes?

Where I work I don't need the badge to enter the building, however I do need it to access my secured area of the building. There is no rest room in the secured area. If you leave your badge at home you must use an intercom to talk with a fellow employee to gain access every time you use the rest room. That entry always comes with a dose of good natured razzing. Thus, after multiple times of leaving my work badge at home, I've learned to put it in my purse every evening after I get home. I also do a check every morning to ensure that my badge, my wallet and my cell phone are in my purse before I walk out the door.

Here's my thought on the time - I wonder how accurate they are. I know the time on my phone is correct and I assume Cheryl's was, as well as the time on the phone that received her text about forgetting the badge. What I wonder is if the time she was last seen/left home is really accurate down to the minute. I know that the clocks in my house are all a little off. So, if you asked me what time I left for work in the morning and I had looked at the microwave I'd say 6:58, but had I looked at the oven I'd remember 6:56, but had I looked at the living room clock on my way out the door I'd say 7:02 and if I was going by the clock in my car, then it could be that I'd say 7:05. And, if you asked my husband, he'd just guess say "she left around 7:00" even if it had been 6:55 or 7:05 because he'd most likely not have paid that close of attention and just knows I leave a some point in the same 10 minute time span each morning.

As for the sister's sign saying she was last seen heading to the transit center, couldn't that just mean that she had parked her car and was walking towards the transit center?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but the quotes I remember seeing all say she left the house "a little before 7:00"...that could easily be 6:45ish, giving her plenty of time to drive, park, realize she forgot her badge...and then whatever happened.

I don't believe any sightings have been reported since Cheryl left home.
