way back when I remember a big Republican national convention came to town, the city of Dallas gathered them all up and put them on a one way trip to New mexico, problem sovled, I thought that was real tacky and possibly criminal

I think they all ended up in Florida!

wow wow wow!

I think perhaps since the search party was made up of family, friends, co-workers, etc. then the family and search party could identify that it was indeed Cheryl.

The medical examiner would then properly identity Cheryl.

Pickard wouldn't exactly elaborate on "who" found Cheryl, but it was like the search party encompassed family, and friends, and co-workers.
IMOO.

I am sure this was done with the best intentions, but it seems very off to me
I haven't seen that done before

Nor I!

I totally understand that! They knew it was her.
But why release it to the press?
Before LE does it?

So No One here thinks she could have had a medical emergency and walked dazed and confused to that area and fell in the culvert and died?

I'm still on the diabetic hypoglycemic theory.

She certainly could have had an undiagnosed illness
Doesn't answer the missing phone question though

I really don't know what to think. About 3 weeks ago I posted saying that I was flip-flopping all over the place with speculations about this case. Nothing's changed!

I think it is possible that Cheryl became disorientated and walked to that area.
But I also think that many of the other ideas that WSers have formed are possible too.
I haven't ruled anything out.
Yet, I do feel that if/when COD and MOD are announced, I still may be surprised by the truth.

By the way, I know it's the opposite coast to you, but on the homeless thing, someone mentioned Seattle earlier and I was going to say I've never seen as many homeless people as I have in the Miami Metropolitan Area.

I think she dropped them phone and purse.
could very well have been picked up by someone and not turned in.
Or they have not been found yet!

Oh I know its very very bad there.
I think Florida has more homeless than anywhere.

Chloroform and suffocation, then later disposed of after dark? Do bad guys use chloroform anymore?

I really really really really doubt it. The chances of her being ostensibly fine and in good health, sending a text, then having a medical event and walking a mile+ to the culvert seem really low. And when you get to the culvert, you have to cross a busy street. There would be no accidentally falling into the culvert from what I could see. She would have had to purposefully get herself down there.

I just don't see it as plausible. IMO. But good to explore everything!!

My hubby is a diabetic.
he can go from being perfectly fine one moment and not fine the next.

what if.....
she forgot her badge and gets out of the car to walk home to get it.
On the way she starts feeling disoriented and when she gets to the corner she turns left instead of right toward her house.

Just a thought I'm having really because of the two cut fingers and the little amounts of blood in the car.
her blood tests will show whatever is there.

"cul·vert
ˈkəlvərt/Submit
noun
1.
a tunnel carrying a stream or open drain under a road or railroad.
synonyms: channel, conduit, watercourse, trough; "

I had to look up what exactly a culvert is. Now that i fully understand tyat, don't think she put herself in there...

Thing is, that she texted her friend that it would take her ten minutes to get that badge, that would have to mean driving because it is impossible to walk from where her car was located and back in ten minutes. Driving, yes, walking, no. Her friend waited for her until 7:30am. Why would the friend wait, if she knew that Cheryl would be walking? Although Cheryl did mention to go on without her that she would take a bus and maybe get a ride home with her that evening?

Lots of questions, with probably some simple answers if we knew some of those answers.

IMOO.
