Good point!.. one would assume she needed the glasses to text.. Unless she takes them off to text and places them in her pocket? Doubtful.. Thanks ...Just shot my theory to hell :) OK, I'm, at 23% now..

I have progressive lens glasses. Many times ( not always though) I take my glasses off to text as I am near sighted. I don't have reading glasses.

IMOO.

I am guessing if the cops know it was animal blood then they know what type of animal it was, sure wish they would reveal that unless its some type of eivdence they dont want known at this time.
Stryker said the test on what kind of animal it was came back inconclusive, so they are having it re-tested

In regards to it being leaky fluid from meat packaging, why would they keep re-testing it if came from a meat package as an FDA rule of no blood allowed in commercially packaged sold meat. It's still relevant. My friend feeds raw diet pet food bought from a butcher , its not the same commercial grade meat...

Would it have come back inconclusive if it were from five different types of animals? We do a ton of genetic testing on our cats and they can tell so much just from a cheek swab.

How could it be from five different types animals?

HMMM..wonder if it was CD's practice to take them off while texting? If so, may be a clue as to the time of possible abduction.. SO THERE Nan80 :) teasing

The meat is 80 protein 10 bone and 10 organ meat. It's a mixture of beef, pork, chicken, turkey, rabbit and lamb. I really don't know but that was my first thought when I heard animal blood.

Yes I can see why
But, did you not say that the meat was of human consumption quality?

I thought you did

If so, as posted above, there is no blood in it

Anyone wonder what the book was?
The one found in her car.
I asked this on the forum twice, once directed towards Stryker, but never received a response.

Im wondering of they have tested the subaru tires for animal blood? Perhaps she accidentally hit a cat or dog and brought it in the car to try to save it? The "substantial amount of animal blood on the floorboards" is tripping me up. Not saying that would be a reason to take your life but could definitely have made an internal struggle much worse, esp for someone with someone who reportedly loved cats. Its just so sad to think about either the homicide or suicide scenario.

I was told he did not like the meat I sent with them. It is very common for them not to eat the first few days due to stress but it is dangerous for a fat cat to go 12 hours without eating (I'm also a vet tech). We talked about doing whatever it takes to get him eating. So ahe could have gone and gotten some raw from a local pet store although none of them are open that early.
It's really easy to determine types of animals and even any genetic problems or history. I send in swabs on all of my cats and get back a mile long spreadsheet of their genetic make up and any genetic diseases they may be carrying and if they are homozygous or heterozygous and all sorts of stuff. It shouldn't be that hard to determine.

From what I am remembering of Stryker's post, there was no problem determining that the substance was animal blood But the results were inconclusive and were being retested.

I have no clue about raw diet, but meat of any kind that is prepared for human consumption does not contain blood.
I don't know if meat for animal food is prepared the same way or if the source is the same as human grade.

So far, I believe the police found blood from an animal, not juice from meat
All I can base that on is stryker's posts

Perhaps more information will come out to change that

This was similar to my theory. Cheryl forgot her badge and was texting her friend. Someone walked up to her carrying an injured animal and asked for help getting it to a vet. Cheryl would do that in a heartbeat. They get in the car and set the animal down. They either had a gun or got hers from her thus the lack of struggle. They took the phone and powered it down. They grabbed the bag from her car and either walked her to their car or wherever. If it was her gun she would have known it was loaded and likely complied.
I am often grooming my cats and the phone or doorbell rings and I shove whatever in my back pocket and forget about it until I find it in the washer or dryer. I haven't done that with a razor blade but who knows.
I believe it was someone she knew or was familiar with.

It seems to me like this will be solved by the phone data. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think a poster in a previous thread said that the GPS data will be available without the actual phone. If that is true, we will likely be able to see if she walked to the culvert or if the phone traveled around.

I suspect the police have additional evidence but they didn't really want to release anything until everything was completed. They felt pressure and have released some evidence to show the public is not in danger but have held back other evidence that might be sensitive for the family.

However, they have not said anything about the toxicology results, which are most likely negative for everything and the autopsy is complete. If the time of death is not Monday, that could be a problem.

The police are doing a poor job revealing information about this case. If they have substantial evidence of suicide, it needs to be presented to the family to give them the chance to address it if they choose. They need to stop revealing bits of information to individual reporters and have a press conference.

What are the toxicology results? What is the time of death? Did the police check homes and businesses for video surveillance along the possible route? Were there any videos of her walking?

I wish the Corgi breeder I got my son's 1st dog from had done those tests or maybe they did and didnt care, I was told if a dog wins ribbons they just breed away with no regard for the health issues. Our dog died of juvenile doabetes at 3. It was so sad for our son he loved that dog. He had him since he was 9 months old and the dog was very protective of him. A breeder told me they probably knew as his father was a champ all the way down the line but they kept breeding for the love of money and ribbons

I'm still trying to figure out ho to use this on my phone and am traveling. That is not the car nor the carrier that they used to pick up the cat. This cat would not have injured her nor was he injured in any way. This is a super shy and sensitive cat who came back happy as could be. If something had happened to him or in his presence he would not be that way. He was clearly calm and happy at her house as her son carried him from the bedroom to the living room with no issue. The other cat she got from me could have scratched her due to the smell of the new male. These are both retired breeding/show cats. Males take a lot of time and patience to introduce. I saw and pet the other male. There was no injury on either cat.

Jfc, question. If Cheryl had wanted to commit suicide, don't you think she would have made arrangements for the cat (s)? Do you think that if this was the case, feeling suicidal, she specifically would have brought the kitty back to you?

Is Cheryl's gun accounted for? Does LE know where it is, for certain?

  • #238
if one of the homicide scenarios on Cheryl's threads pans out to be true, can you imagine how much evidence must have been left behind? IMO They will certainly have plenty to make an arrest.

Also, i was told several times here that the tox reports came back clean but have yet to see it in MSM.

I understand your frustrations with the amount of info being revealed. I have the same frustrations. My belief is that LE is holding back because they can't absolutely call it suicide. I believe there is just enough to tip it to either murder or suicide, or perhaps they're sitting on something bigger and doing surveillance that the public knows nothing about. LE seems to often hold back and try to make the responsible party(ies) think they're in the clear, when in actuality they're anything but. I have never had a family member commit suicide, but it seems to me that murder would be easier to take then unexplained suicide. We don't want to think of our loved ones as being so despondent or desperate as to take their own life.

Basically, unless someone was killing an animal, not bleeding it, chopping it up and bagging it for cat food, the blood on the floor (I'm assuming any lab could tell if it is blood pretty much right away), is not from packaged fresh human food or packaged raw meat meant for cats. I'm really interested in hearing what it was from though. It is just so weird to have fresh animal blood on your floorboard the morning you commit suicide or get murdered. I can't help but think it has something significant to do with it.

Here's from the USDA:

The red liquid in packages of meat is not blood but water and a protein called Myglobin (from muscles) which is what gives red meat it's color. There may be a few stray blood cells in a sample. This is something they could tell by a simple look under the microscope and I'm pretty sure if this was what was found, they would have probably made that clear, and would not need to do further testing to determine type of animal.
