My dad was the first to locate the car after informing the police my mom was missing. The officers trying to locate her car knew it was a Subaru and assumed it was the station wagon type, when in fact it was a sedan. So while they were searching my dad was able to locate it before them. He did not go inside, or touch the car after he located it.

Also some new info for you guys. Police found nothing of value on my moms computers to assist their investigation.

I assume this includes work computer?

Did Mike have any enemies? Was there someone that wanted to hurt Mike in the worst way possible and this was the way it was done? And to be found on Valentine's Day? It seems this might be a cold, calculated, personal attack on Mike Deboer instead of looking at just Cheryl Deboer's activities and relationships with people. Was there a coworker or a friend that wanted to take something away from Mike? Make him feel as much pain as possible? But then maybe the killer felt remorse at the end by folding her glasses...? Just a theory that maybe we need to look closer at Mike's relationships with people instead of just Cheryl's?

I think there is a big question that we dont know the answer to and will never know it because Cheryl is not here to answer it.

So we are suppose to believe that Cheryl with her degree in Chemistry placed some critter blood of unknown source in her car and then barely sliced 2 fingers to staged the scene, then completed the suicide a mile down the road ?... I dont know why but I just can't go there and I have tried...
I'm with you. I'm really trying to believe that it might be suicide, but I can't.

I could completely go with this theory.

Stryker, do you happen to know if the dome light in your mom's car was working properly? I can envision her not even seeing the blood in the dark morning if the dome light was not working.

  • #507
Because Cheryl got the cat does not mean she would not kill herself.
There are women and men with new families babies and young children that walk off and end their lives. Sad

  • #508
Damn... No useful information in her computer(s)...

  • #509
Interesting. Since you know Cheryl, what (and why) makes you think this, that you could go with that theory?

There's things I don't feel comfortable saying without asking him and the police but one obvious thing is that they are extremely conservative in a very liberal area. They are hunters. I'm sure an anti hunter would feel that's an ideal way to make a point? I have no evidence of this but I feel like there may have been a threat beforehand.

Damn... No useful information in her computer(s)...

That we know of, in my opinion.

Remember this article:

"Police obtained a search warrant to look in the vehicle, a 1988 Subaru Legacy, only to find a book, Caw said. Police impounded the car to process for evidence, he said. Investigators have not recovered DeBoer’s purse."

http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle...rces-into-search-for-mountlake-terrace-woman/

Were they not able to see the blood in the vehicle? If they were able to see it, it wasn't released right away to MSM.

Now with the info that stryker57 gave, and he is family to Cheryl, then maybe nothing was found, period, on her computer. Unless LE is holding back some of the information, even from family? Just thoughts...

Also, just because there wasn't anything useful on those computers, doesn't mean anything really. It just means there wasn't anything useful there.

IF she did commit suicide, maybe she didn't have to research that on her computer?

IMOO.

Not that I am aware of, and police haven't mentioned any to us. Only the texts.

Stryker, do you happen to know if the dome light in your mom's car was working properly? Also, do you happen to know if she brought her work computer home with her over the weekend and if so, was it located? As a separate question, was her work computer also searched?

Some information about Lyon Creek:

"Lyon Creek is now categorized as “Core Summer Salmonid Habitat” for aquatic life use, and “Extraordinary Contact” for recreational use. As part of the updated water quality standards, the creek has been assigned an additional “Supplemental Spawning and Incubation Protection” temperature criteria of 13 ºC to be applied from September 15th through May 15th. The creek is on the 2012 Washington Department of Ecology's (Ecology) 303(d) list for violation of fecal coliform bacteria and dissolved oxygen standards (Category 5). See Table 1 for a summary of water quality violations in the creek during the most recent water year.

Water quality in Lyon Creek was characterized as “poor” in 1989 (Metro 1990) due primarily to very high bacteria levels."

whats the question?

Were there problems in the marriage?
To me this would be a huge reason for suicide.
Probably number 1

I'm not certain if this has been answered, but I was curious myself and found the following info for the time of "first light" and sunrise on 8 Feb. 2016:

Checking for sunrise on 8 Feb. 2016, the time is listed as 7:27 a.m.

http://www.timeanddate.com/sun/usa/seattle?month=2

Info re: dawn vs sunrise:

http://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-dawn-and-vs-sunrise/

What is the difference between Dawn and Sunrise?

• Sunrise is the moment when sun is exactly parallel to the horizon.

• Dawn is the moment when the sun has yet not appeared on the horizon, but there is still some light because of the scattering of sunlight through refraction.

• Dawn takes place earlier than sunrise.

• Dawn is also referred to as daybreak, and it is a time when there is some sunlight when sun has still not risen.

• Dawn takes place some thirty minutes before sunrise.

No, no, no! If there is a person against hunting for sport or pleasure I am that person! It has nothing to do to being liberal or conservative in my opinion. It has to do with respect and compassion for other beings of other species! Unless my children or I were dragging ourselves of hunger would I point a gun or whatever to injure or kill another being.

But, as I said it is a question of respect, so I have to respect the hunters. I do my role not hunting and saying why I am against it and I hope I am respected for it, the same I respect them. Don't understand why they do it, but have to respect and would never ever threaten anyone because of it!

So Cheryl was someone that all who knew her only had good loving words to say about and, because she was a hunter she would be threatened or even killed! Hmm I don't think so.

I too deeply believe she was murdered, but don't think it was because of hunting.

Anyway, we all have our diferente opinions and at the end we all want JUSTICE FOR HER.

ETA - I am ashamed of it but here in my country there are still bullfights(!!) many of us are against it but any bullfighter was ever killed because of it.

I don't know about dome light.

She did not bring a work computer home with her.

Her work computer was searched.

both home and work computers were searched. I think there ought to be a headline in the Seattle paper that reads:

POLICE FIND NO EVIDENCE OF SUICIDE ON CHERYL DeBOER'S COMPUTERS
