Hi Guys,
Still really no updated info for you. There is still the lack of evidence for homicidal violence, so it seems this points most likely to suicide. Homicide or Suicide have not been ruled out. Still there was no signs to myself, my father, or other family members that she was depressed. I think if it was suicide something very wrong happened mentally, chemical imbalance or something. If nothing is found with physical evidence that another person was involved I am pretty sure the ME / Police will rule suicide.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope your family is able to get some emotional support from support groups should you come to the conclusion your mom may indeed have taken her own life. It's very common for the people closest to the one they've lost be completely blindsided. I also hope your family is able to accept they are blameless in every way and there's nothing they could have done to stop this or change things. I've known people who have had complete breaks out of the seemingly blue before as well, resulting in extreme self-harm or death. In those cases there was no way to have seen it coming. I wish all the strength in the world for you.

Maybe End of Month? Timeline always seems to change. I think it is hard when dealing with outside agencies.

Hi - new user here. I've been following Cheryl's case ever since I was approached at the Mountlake Terrace park-and-ride by a volunteer looking for witnesses as to what happened to her. I frequently took the same shortcut she took when she disappeared (parking next to the MLT library and cutting through the adjacent park to the park-and-ride) and I was always a bit creeped out going through there. Unfortunately, I didn't have any useful information about her disappearance.

Now I avoid that route entirely and take the long way around when I have to park there.

My impetus for joining this forum was when, to our great dismay, a wonderful friend of our family had her 16-year-old brother Tyler disappear while jogging to church through a wooded area in Mukilteo (not that far away from Mountlake Terrace where Cheryl died). I don't at all like how similarly the stories start. Hopefully they have different endings! The thread about Tyler is here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...-Tyler-Christensen-16-Mukilteo-19-April-2016/

Thank-you Stryker. M.E. can rule undetermined. That way if evidence is uncovered in the future, manner of death can be updated
Thoughts and prayers for peace and closure for you and your family.

While driving home tonight, I heard an advertisement for tomorrow's program of the Diane Rehm show on NPR. It's about suicide prevention. One snippet mentioned a 63% increase in suicide for middle aged women. I will be listening, hoping to learn something new.
I just mention this because of the possibility spoken of in Cheryl's thread.
