Just announced RD is now under investigation with the City of Spokane for 2 counts of ethics violations. 1) for lying on her police Omsbudsman application 2) for filing "hate crime claim" which caused local LEO to drive by her house hourly for several weeks. Note that the Omsbudsman position allowed her to make recommendations to the DOJ for how better to serve minority populations.

What hasn't been discussed here but has been referenced multiple times in her media appearances is the death of an elderly white man "Shorty" by the horrendous beating from 2 AA teen males. RD referenced this in her interview with the student about "normal" for a black woman. RD also spoke out against a local business owner who put a sign in his window to the effect of Shorty can't breathe.

Just to give WS'rs some history about how she influenced or had power to influence police investigations.

Rachel isn't a trans-anything. She's an imitation of a victim, a liar, a plagiarist, a fraud, and a menace to racial equality. She positioned herself to create unrest between blacks and whites, and then sought political positions such that she would be the person to resolve the unrest that she created. She's a dangerous woman who is so arrogant that she doesn't understand that now is not the time to be walking with a big smile and seeking more attention. What a monster!

This reminds me of the mindset of people with Munchausen Syndrome or Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. Desperate for attention they fabricate illnesses but many of them also fabricate rapes, assaults, hate crimes, they even committ arsons and blame it on others.

Totally disgusted- totally bizarre. The guy sums it up perfectly by saying that the worst part is that she was taking advantage of people who were at the most vulnerable possibly that they've ever been (paraphrasing)... WOW.

It's the lies and complete misrepresentation that get me. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that she claimed all of these horrible things happened to her because of her race- and how she overcame that struggle and rose to hold a position of leadership to help people who have actually suffered terrible things that have happened to them because of their race- and it was all a lie.

Again, taking advantage of trusting people. Who are at a vulnerable place in their lives. She totally catfished everyone.

Drew is more like Jodi Arias or Elliot Rodger as they are grudge holders. Like Dolezal, they obsess about being victimized nonstop. The story just keeps getting worse. Link says she claimed her family left the south because her father stood up to white cops. This is past interesting, past fascinating, past pathological liar and knee deep in some type of sickness. Jmo

Far be it from me to make any excuses for this individual who has left so much damage in her wake, but if RD does happen to be an extreme narcissist or have some characteristics of borderline, histrionic, or narcissistic personality disorder, as was suggested above, would she necessarily know this? Could she be reasonably expected to appreciate whatever it is that is operating within her psyche to the point that she recognizes the gross dysfunction and seeks help to rein it in?

Being crafty, coy, self-serving, outrageous, hurtful, and on the wrong side of the law at times are things she knows how to do, and she does sneak, which suggests she knows some of her behavior is not the finest, but if something psychologically compelling spins her up, how can we be sure she has the wherewithal to make the spinning stop?

Fraud and lies….I am less mad at her if an unwell mind is at play creating this than I am if she made the unfettered choice to just be bad.

Isn't it truly unbelievable? She was born and lived in Spain until she moved to New York in 2003 and suddenly became a 9/11 survivor. I guess she thought since she was from another country nobody would ever figure out the truth. I don't know where she is now.

Is DA planning to use Rachel as a witness? I doubt that there is any physical evidence, which means brother is probably facing charges based on claims alone.

So, does it really matter whether Rachel Dolezal is black or white?

Dr. King said we should be judged by the content of character rather than color of skin, which is what makes this case so difficult. So, yes, it does matter. Apparently lying to employers and the public you’re representing when the lie benefits you personally and professionally is a deficit in character. However, the fight for equality is too important to all Americans to lose someone as passionate as she is and who has accomplished as much as she has. This seems more a case of her standing up and saying, “I am Spartacus!” rather than a conspiracy to defraud. Let’s give her a Bill Clinton Get Out of Jail Free card on this one (#Ididnothavesex) and let her get back to doing what she clearly does exceptionally well—making America more American.

I wonder if some of these commenters realize that apparently she didn't just lie about her race but everything else as well.

Some of her remarkable accomplishments in the fight for equality might be slightly exaggerated by her.
