Interesting case. Have you found out any more information?
This 2019 article is seeking information on Sandy's father, though it states that he is not a suspect and LE simply wants to find his friends and associates. I can't imagine that the father is not at least being considered as a suspect. Sandy's father died in 1999, so he couldn't be questioned about the murder of his daughter.

Sadly there don't seem to have been any updates since 2022.

I dont think the father is a suspect here but the trailer life definitely exposed Sandy and made her vulnerable. A lone teen in the middle of nowhere. An invitation for predators.

I am new and am wowed at the info and dedication to this site and this thread. Raised my whole life In Vancouver Wa so this hits home. To hear where bones and evidence are found really wakes me up as I've only heard of a few of these cases. We used to hunt Canyon Creek in the 90's it was a lot of clear cut back then but probably grown up now as I haven't been for a long while. Spent a lot of time up at Yale Reservoir. Still go to Larch Mountain 4 or 5 times a year. Thank you everyone for making things better here in the PNW.
