Here is who Daryl is being run against. The results should be back fairly soon. Fingers crossed! It does not look like a homicide. It looks like an accidental drowning. I'm not sure about the postmortem interval. It says three months, but Dr. Jorgensen said that the timing was perfect. Must be a typo somewhere on NamUs.

Alright...a disappointing update:

Darryl Roy Frye has been unfortunately been ruled out as Snohomish Jetty Doe, who we’ve been testing since February.

I’m still going to be looking for Darryl and hopefully will give his sister and the rest of his remaining family members closure.

Apparently, there was some miscommunication from the beginning of me talking to the medical examiner. She thought I meant I believed Daryl was Snohomish Jetty Doe (UP14843) when I was contacting them for Arlington John Doe. She does not think he is the Doe that I contacted about, but the testing is still going through for Jetty Doe.

Hey-- I feel like this is still a win. Even though I didn't match Daryl with this particular Doe, I did get him being talked about and then his DNA was put into CODIS. I'll update with a link for Jetty Doe.

Disappointing, but thanks for the update! Was he ever officially compared to the Arlington John Doe? I always thought that first one you suggested looked like a closer match to Darrel based on the reconstruction sketch:

They do look alike! Jane Jorgensen, the investigator, said that Stanwood Bryant Doe does not have a DNA profile yet. They will be trying to do more work on him. She said it’s highly unlikely that these two are a match because of the postmortem interval. Stanwood Bryant had been there more than two months and had actually been there for a few years, most likely. They do look alike though!
