The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 24-year-old Anastasia Romonova, who was last seen in the 100 Block of Wayne Place S.E. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Anastasia is described as a white female, 5’5" in height, 165 lbs., with blonde hair, brown eyes. Anastasia was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black leggings, black shoes, and a black Victoria Secret brand bag.

The description says she has blonde hair, but her hair looks brown in the photo. I wonder if she had dyed it blonde. It would be helpful if police would provide more details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Well, she has a famous name. Another Anastasia Romanova was the youngest daughter of the last tsar of Russia, and she was murdered in 1918.

I'm not suggesting that means anything in this case, but the name jumps out, even though the last names are spelled differently.

I hope we get a "found safe" notice soon.

I found a woman with her name in the Maryland court system who legally changed her name from Anastasia Romonova to Anastatis Romonova Sommeman. Without a date of birth can't verify it's the missing woman, however. There IS an Anatashia Sonneman in Washington DC/Baltimore MD area (with both brunette and blond photos) and the middle initial R. but she would have graduated university as a young teen to be age 24 now based on her Linked employment/education profile so this information may not be related.

FWIW, I've been digging into Romonova (with the O), and there are few families in USA with that spelling. I thought the "O spelling" would help narrow down finding something about her, but I'm not having much luck yet.
