OLYMPIA, Wash. - A man who went to meet a potential buyer from an online service hasn’t been seen since.

The Thurston County sheriff said Eric A. Rearden listed some fishing poles for sale on OfferUp.

On Sept. 5 at about 8 p.m., Rearden went to a Chevron in the Nisqually Valley to meet with a potential buyer from Lynnwood.

Reardon never returned.

Reardon is 41, white, 6 feet 5 inches tall, 360 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. The person who reported Reardon missing said Reardon was clean shaven with a crew-cut type haircut when he was last seen.

Police are asking for people to be on the lookout for both Reardon and his vehicle, a red, 2-door 1995 Suzuki Swift.

Anyone who has information on Reardon’s whereabouts is asked to call the Thurston County Sheriff's Office at 360-786-5599 or call dispatch at 360-704-2740.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in finding a Tenino sex offender who went missing Sept. 5.

..In 2003, Rearden pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree burglary with sexual motivation and second-degree assault, which requires him to register as a sex offender. He was convicted in 2014 for failing to register.

Does this have something to do with why he is missing? Adds more questions for sure.

I can't link because I am on my phone, but I found a record for him at Oregon.arrests.org that indicates a past failure to appear, and a charge of being a fugitive.

I checked Washington State court records and he does not appear to have any recent charges, or any court dates pending. I will try digging around for anything that might be pending in Oregon.

The sheriff's office tweeted Friday morning that Reardon had been found, but did not say where.
