MISTRIAL WA - Four Parkland PD officers shot to death, 29 Nov 2009 *shooter killed, Driver 3rd hung jury*

The trials for the people that helped him will be interesting. I want to hear what drove them to do it.

They were probably family members and good friends...people just like him or they would have run when he contacted them or someone contacted them for him.

It just burns me that any of this happened in the first place. The guy gets 95 years in Arkansas and the Dept of Corrections go to bat for him. The Gov of Arkansas must not have gone over his record or just does what the Dept of Corrections says to do and the killer gets his freedom. Washington is just as bad...and I live not far from where this happened. They give him bail when he raped a girl among other things. What is wrong with the judicial system and the bigwigs sitting up in the Gov's mansions! I've had personal experience with the Dept of Corrections through the murder of my daughter and I can tell you that the victims do not come first. A real lack of ethics in the dept in Mt. Vernon and it sounds like it is the same in Arkansas. Probably the same all over. I have no faith in our judicial system. I believe that most LE do their best though.

Could the get away driver be facing Felony Murder charges ?

He should be charged the same. The 🤬🤬🤬 told people the night before what he was going to do!! If he tries to deny that, police have witnesses who stated that already!!

Here's another lihk http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/12/01/washington.suspect.shot/index.html

Well that saves the taxpayers beaucoup bucks!

Except for the 4-6 bozos who helped him. Sheesh!

My hat is off and I can't say enough for the LE in the greater Seattle area! They showed true courage, respect to their fallen partners and a relentless pursuit of the perp that protected everyone in the area!! They did a truly amazing job!!!:woohoo::dance:

Thank you for the scanner link of the call... to think, if I would have stayed up last night, I would have heard that.

I'd like to high-5 that cop and give him a few atta boys...

I am very thankful for the fact that the 12 year old child will not have to sit in front of him recalling the events of the rape during a trial. I hope some good people will step in to take care of this young girl.

In the recording of the live scanner, someone says ....."but sir, I've been shot"... and my guess is that was ole Maur Maur. Wow, let's see...surprized, unable to defend yourself, fired on, on the ground, shot, bleeding, 100% alone, staring down the barrel of a gun. Karma is a b*tch ain't it?

I am oh so glad, also, that the public does not have to hear this mans name for years to come during long trials, DP appeals, whatever...the attention paid to him will be short lived now. The killer and child rapist will be nothing but a small space taken up in the ground.

I am so glad this manhunt has ended. We had the scare of a lifetime yesterday during our rehearsal in Renton, WA. Approximately 7 PM we were notified by Renton PD that the suspect was being sought less than 1/2 mile from the theater building in which we are preparing for this weekend's opening run of the Nutcracker. We basically had to "lock down" for hours, and had escorts make sure we all got to our cars safely. I will never forget the look of sheer fear and confusion on the faces of our younger dancers.
Although I'm relieved the man was killed, I am still crying for the 9 dear children that have lost a Mom or a Dad. This will never be "over" for a devastated community and those who lost such brave police officers.

Peace be with you all.

:praying: for the friends and family of Lakewood's finest!

I am also glad this 🤬🤬🤬 was caught and I am thankful that the officer that shot him did not lose his life in the process. The article says Clemmons came up on him from behind..... I'm glad the officer did acted.

Prayers to all the families left behind.

Can someone kindly link that article again? I'm a little late to the thread and trying to catch up. I had not seen that detail reported elsewhere.

apparently MC's family has stepped in to "help" him with the police before :furious: :furious: :furious:

and a "professional" heard his threats in early May :banghead:

<snip>

Four days in May set stage for Sunday's tragedy

When the deputy tried going into the house in search of Clemmons, one cousin grabbed the deputy's wrist. A struggle followed, during which Clemmons emerged from the house and punched the deputy in the face. Clemmons also assaulted a second deputy who arrived to help, according to court records.

Ultimately, all three men were arrested and taken to jail. When being booked, Clemmons refused to cooperate and said, "I'll kill all you *****es," according to a psychological evaluation obtained by The News Tribune.

Which case is that? because I know I heard his name long before this shooting. I just cant find what case it may be.

me too....:)

<<SNIP>>
For those who say now we'll never know why Clemmons assassinated officers Ronald Owens, Tina Griswold, Mark Renninger and Greg Richards, I say we don't need to know "why."
We don't need to try and grasp the twisted and sick reasons "why" Clemmons decided to gun down 4 people, leaving their spouses and children with an emptiness that will never go away.
