I'm annoyed because I was right, social media is jumping all over the serial killer angle.

It distracts from the facts of this particular case, when people start bringing up completely unrelated events.

First there is no evidence of a crime occurring in the first place, with Gabriel being spotted walking alone away from his abandoned vehicle.

Secondly, at least one of those cases almost certainly involved drugs, and there's no evidence of a crime in that one either.

Eye on the ball.

Hi, i just wanted to thank you for your explanation, i really learned a lot from this situation!!

A second young man suffering a sudden onset mania within a few miles of one another and disappearing is coincidental. A third is spooky. I'm glad he's been found. I wonder if he might possibly be able to provide any insight on where the other two may be.
I am not sure it was mania in this latest case. The 20-year-old one who disappeared in 2019 mixed Esctasy with crystal meth, so mania and psychosis were unsurprising. (TBH, there are many meth-cooking houses in Nisqually valley around Olympia, but for this very reason, I don’t see these three cases being connected).

This is completely standard, and it's likely we'll never hear another thing about this.

Someone goes missing, the police publicize it, tips come in, and the situation is resolved. That doesn't mean the public is owed an explanation, especially when there's no crime.

He and his family no doubt want privacy, and saying more can only result in harm.

Respectfully, it is none of our business what happened. LE had publicly announced him as missing, and now that he has been found, they have publicly announced that. We do not need to know more. JMO

The police, being concerned about the disappearance of a 16-year old, athletic kid, that was totally out of character for him, asked the community to help. That Thurston county police did everything by the book, mobilized the community, the aviation, the search dogs and FBI. The mother made a Facebook. People responded, reported the sightings, described his clothes, were willing to help in searches. The boy was found in time. No one owes us, the bystanders, any explanations. Moreover, it is now between the boy and his family, and it is good that they don’t tell us. He is sixteen, his whole life is ahead of him, and while this episode is, no doubt, a certain red flag, it is such only for his family, and himself. We can only wish them well.

ADMIN NOTE:

There has been a twist in this case in that Gabriel, who has been located, has now been connected to the Orting homicide.

A new thread for that discussion has been started:

This thread that relates to his disappearance and having been located will remain closed.
