Water + Wildlife = Dangerous Surroundings.

She's so young and so tiny..and that park is so massive.

Hoping and praying she's sheltered safely in place somewhere, and that searchers locate her before nightfall.

In addition to water and wildlife, State Route 20 is just a few hundred yards away from the campground. If she wandered down to the highway, someone could have picked her up. I hope that's not the case. JMO.

Oh, no....yet another cause for concern.

There is danger all around this little girl.

Sometimes things turn out okay, despite the horrible sinking churning feeling that's building.

What a relief. Whew. I hope Gwynn gets whatever she wants for dinner to make up for missing a couple of hot meals, and plenty of snuggles and reassurance that she really is safe, not to mention brave and resourceful. She had the scare of a lifetime at age 7, and it might take her some time to feel secure again.

A National Park Service ranger said Gwynn was found roughly a half-mile from her campsite in steep, wooded terrain. The ranger said the girl was yelling out, which helped rescuers find her. She appeared uninjured, but may be taken to the hospital for an evaluation."
