well... I'm not really sure it DID go to the jury - but after Dixon testified either Tuesday or Wed. there was a pathologist that testified. So I figured the defense rested their case then. Usually they put the defendant on last as their witness. So - the jury "might" be deliberating - or even have a verdict. I'm personally not finding anything from the last couple of days. They all are like 3 or 4 day old articles.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Prosecutors presented closing arguments in their case against a Bellingham woman accused in the death of her boyfriend's 3-year-old daughter, Hazel Homan, back in 2019.

Tuesday morning was spent conducting court proceedings, filing motions and objections as defense for Kamee Dixon tries to prove Hazel's death was a tragic accident, and the prosecution tried to prove Hazel's death at the hands of Dixon was child abuse.

During part of their presentation, the prosecution reminded the jury of a previous testimony from a King County medical examiner:....

The defense did not give closing arguments Tuesday. Dixon’s attorneys told the judge they wanted to show some short clips of testimonies already heard throughout the trial. However, after further review, the judge halted their plan to show the clips during closing arguments. The defense asked for a recess for the rest of the day in order to give them a fair amount of time to re-work their closing arguments. The judge approved the request.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The fate of a Whatcom County woman accused of deadly child abuse is now in the hands of a jury.

Kamee Dixon was accused of killing her boyfriend’s three-year-old daughter in November 2019. The trial has gone on for nearly three months, with the prosecution saying the victim suffered repeated injury at Dixon’s hands.

The defense used its closing arguments Wednesday to reinforce its version of events—the child’s death was an accident.

During a rebuttal to the defense’s closing arguments, prosecutors argued Dixon abused Hazel over the course of five months. They noted the medical examiner’s office found 50 injuries—all at various stages of healing.
