I have to wonder if he's picked up odd jobs over the years and learned his way around power tools.. Maybe someone he knows has a warehouse/garage space...

Seems like he's a real-life Dexter.

Hi alexwood, the link indicates the Residence Inn was in Snohomish County.

"Police officers and U.S. Marshals arrested Charlton without incident in Snohomish County, where he was staying in a Residence Inn."

Also, from link in the "SPD Blotter":
<snip>
cooperation with the Renton Police Department, a search warrant was served in their jurisdiction.
Evidence was recovered during the service of the search warrant.
Based on the investigation, a suspect was identified.
Early this morning, as a result of this on-going investigation an adult male suspect was taken into custody in Snohomish County.

:cow:

Okay. Thank you! I was way off base. (How humiliating!!)

So . . . scratch those Residence Inn addresses -- as they are (according to Wikipedia) situated in King County -- not Snohomish. I stupidly assumed that Seattle was somehow in Snohomish County!? (This is what happens when you are so directionally challenged that you can't even get there using GPS or Googlemaps.)

I did find one Residence Inn at 18200 Alderwood Mall Pkwy., Lynnwood, WA 98037 -- Lynnwood is is Snohomish County.
Just blindly speculating here on where he might have gone after ditching her vehicle if he was staying at a Residence Inn in Snohomish County.

A little about the Seattle Baseball game Friday, April 8th, 2016

The Game started at 7:10pm PST
The Game was the Home Opener for the Mariners.
The Game had the Largest crowd ever for a Regular Season Game for the Mariners at 47, 064
The Game lasted 2 hours and 55 minutes.
The Game was tied until the top of the 9th when A's player Coghlan hit a homer to take the lead.
Final Score: 3-2: A's

I mention the scoring because people tend to leave early if their team is losing. However, this game was close to the end.

Every time I hear or read Snohomish I think of Ted Bundy

A little more on his criminal history: "John Robert Charlton was convicted of a 2009 felony theft in Montana, negligent driving in Washington state in 1998, and a second-degree felony for aggravated robbery in Utah in 2006." http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/latest-man-body-parts-case-criminal-convictions-38338428

So that makes arrests in Washington, Montana, Idaho, Florida and Utah for various reasons. Notice that the robbery/theft charges are described as "aggravated" which might indicate violence.

In one of his dating profiles he said his occupation was boat repair/mechanic. FWIW

Okay, so that means he is familiar with tools and probably owns plenty of them.

However, if he was at Ingrid's house without a car (which is my assumption at the moment), he wouldn't have tools with him. It's not as if he could walk into a baseball stadium with a stash of tools (assuming they went to the game, which we really don't know).

So, did he know that Ingrid had tools at her house? Unless she had a heavy-duty cleaver that he knew about, I don't think normal kitchen tools would do the job.

JMO.

Had my daughter there. Fantastic team of people!

I had my son there. My partner had open heart surgery there in Dec. I had sad stuff happen there. My son is being treated there now. They are the best, kindest doc's and nurses! I wonder what department she worked in. :(
