We know there was a head, arm/hand, and leg/foot found so far. I wonder what else was in the bags? I would think those things would be able to fit into one bag. I wonder if these were obviously identifying parts? Obviously her head would be. But I wonder if she had any tattoos on her foot/ankle or arm/wrist? If so, I'm thinking he put these identifying parts together and tossed them thinking that the garbage would go out and nobody would find them only to put them in the most unlucky trash can.

IMO there was not huge mess in her home. I don't see that being reported anywhere. What I did see was that there was blood found IN THE DRAIN which I'm sure means he cleaned up. I'm fairly certain her mother would have at least canvased the place before she called police and it seems no obvious crime scene was noted as her texts to JC did not elude to anything other than her being missing.

also in the drain was body pieces....so he at the least tried to wash down SOME evidence...but leaving the SAW there in the bathroom, as reported is kinda weird....not trying to put that back where he found it, or disposing of it...wonder if he just missed putting that back or disposing it?

I had not heard Shaylyn had been dismembered?

ETA: The violence he inflicted upon that little angel was nonetheless horrific!

She wasn't dismembered. Severe physical trauma, but not dismembered.

He KNEW that her children would be home in the morning according to the text that he sent when he responded to the mom or sister inquiring about her whereabouts. He said they had attended the game together and he didn't stay the night because her children would be coming home the next morning (of course he later told police he did stay and had sex with her and then he doesn't remember how he got home, he also mentioned she was acting weird).

This right here is enough to know his blacking out and waking up on a sidewalk is BS. He had the forethought to lie to her mother. If he had truly blacked out, he wouldn't have any reason to make up that lie. He knew exactly what he had done and was trying (sloppily) to cover his tracks or buy himself some time.

Interesting that John wrote this (red) in his text reply to Ingrid's mother......

Lyne’s mother called a number she found on her daughter’s cell phone and exchanged texts with a man, according to the court document. He responded to her initial text with, “My name is John. I thought she was with her kids today.”

Lyne’s mother then asked when he saw her last. She also told him she’s not at home, but her purse and phone are, and she’s called 911.

Charlton responded: “911? What’s going on? We went to the Mariners game last night but we didn’t stay the night together because she has her kids today … not sure what she has told you about me and our relationship.”

The mother responded that her daughter was missing and police may want to speak to him as he might be the last person who saw her. Charlton never responded, according to the court document.

Finally Ingrid’s mother wrote in part: “Any help would be appreciated. We are desperate. She would never just go off and leave her family.”

I wonder if he logged in to Facebook to remove any footprint he had with Ingrid. Then tried changing stuff.

Who was the woman found on Lynnwood? I think I missed this? Do you have a link?

FYI, there is no evidence of homicide in the Cheryl DeBoer case. And there are no similarities in the cases that we know of except that both deaths occurred in the greater Seattle area.

It all turns my stomach, but his cat and mouse B S with her mother and the texting just really ...I don't know...lost for words, so angry

Yes, I agree. However Tea Time indicated in their post that there was an additional woman in Lynnwood found with a plastic bag... In addition to Cheryl Deboer. I had not heard this before and was looking for a link to confirm.

There were 3 women Marianne Humble, Amy Kennelly and Cheryl Deboer --all of them processed thru the ME office with differing C O D. There is only the incident of Cheryl with the bag so she just mistyped or misspoke

It's disgusting that even after what he did he seemed to be trying to get info from the mom, "not sure what she has told you about our relationship..." It's like he wanted to know what Ingrid has been saying about him. Also creepy that he labeled it a "relationship." Would have Ingrid labeled it as such? Maybe he thought they were more serious than she did and that angered him.

Strange since her other friends said they were dating longer. I wonder why her other friends would lie?
Not saying this is the case, because I don't know, but I can imagine friends putting the situation in the best light possible so that there is no blaming of the victim that she should have done more or been more cautious.

I haven't heard about a Lynnwood woman with a bag over her head either.

Is Charlton connected to the 2009 disappearance of Nancy Moyer?

*

Moyer, a 36-year-old mother of two, was last seen in March 2009. The Thurston County case remains unsolved.*

*

It was in Thurston County where Charlton’s parents filed court documents for a restraining order and described Charlton making telling his mother to “beware” with a copy of “Hannibal,” a movie about serial killer Hannibal*Lecter. That incident happened in 2006.*

*

Contacted Tuesday,*Sgt. Carla Carter with the Thurston County Sheriff’s office said they were not making a link between the Moyer case and the Charlton arrest.

*

Told about his 2006 incident in Thurston County, Carter asked for Seattle Police contact information and said she would pass along the information to the lead detective in the Moyer case.

*

Carter said it was “worth looking into.”

I have followed the Nancy Moyer case for a very long time. I am impressed that LE is already starting to consider other victims.

For those interested here is the link for her case here.

RE :I wonder if he logged in to Facebook to remove any footprint he had with Ingrid. Then tried changing stuff.
In fb land is it typical to let others know your login info??

Re the knife : not trying to put that back where he found it, or disposing of it...wonder if he just missed putting that back or disposing it?

That struck me intially also.My frist thought was pretty dumb. Then in thinking about it
--he could have just been blasted he forgot
--if in active psycois that is what hannibel would do or something
-physically exhausted , chopping someone up I would assume is rather exhusting

I have always thought it was odd, in crimes like this where the drain comes in . I Get it fornesically , but I would a bath that was just used to chop someone up would be all dented, scratched.
