I wonder what he was like as a child. He definitely has mommy issues.

From one Armchair to the other on this end - you make a lot of sense to me. I tend to think he's harmed more out there too but the only thing that makes me doubt is that he is isn't too discreet. He offered his real name and tied his cell phone to his Facebook account. Ingrid's sister was able to track him down by his cell phone and he used his real name when he could have easily given a phoney one. I would think he would have gotten caught way before this with his careless actions unless he was tired of the game and wanted to be caught this time. Even the Mariners plans....he could have waited until they didn't have a date night and show up on one of the nights she didn't have the kids. Those things all make me tend to believe he had violent rage issues and this happened to be the first time it was fatal...but on the other hand the other stuff seems on point with serial killers.

This all makes sense too.

The way I see his carelessness in giving his name, etc. is simply that he may have gotten away with it before. I'm not sure it would be terribly difficult to kill someone and never get caught. Though I don't plan to try it.

I wouldn't call his behavior so much careless as brazen. And maybe that comes from confidence that nobody will figure it out this time either.

I'm sure he did not want to get caught. But I think part of him wants someone to see the hot hate he has for these women. To see how low and unworthy he thinks they are. Something like that...

Edited to add: I think the location of the remains in trash bins is very telling. JMO.

I find it hard to believe that no one in the neighborhood noticed the smell of human remains in the outdoor garbage bin. Maybe I am the only one with over curious and vigilant neighbors? Nothing gets passed this crowd.

He knew that she would give him the boot as soon as she found out the truth about him and that it was just a matter of time before she figured him out. And I think she started asking questions about his past that night. The fb entry "Studied at: All of Them" posted the day after he killed her makes me think she was asking about his fake education and his conflicting answers made no sense. Psychopaths do not like to be challenged with their lies.

There is no way that this young woman would intentionally get involved with someone she knew to be a career criminal, alcoholic, homeless, drug abusing, drifter with psychological disorders. There is nothing in it for her.

When he gave "Hannibal" to his mom, I think he was trying to tell her what he was really all about - he was already a serial killer by then but had not left a trail behind.

I have no idea how this guy is going to get a fair trial anywhere in the US. It disgusts me to think he could actually walk away from all of this.

Even a lot of people in WA haven't followed the media coverage too closely, and even those that have seen media accounts may have pretty open minds. I imagine the defense would want to keep the case in King County.

I keep going back to his statement, 'I'm not a normal person.' It's rare insight for a narcissist. It's probably the only thing he's said that isn't a lie.

Why do I feel ready that I am going to get a bit of hate here....... I actually feel like he has been honest in much of what he has said so far, in fact the only thing that I see that can be considered a lie is his saying he was blacked out, which he probably does not even want to admit to himself what he did yet.

Is it possible he has a split personality or something like that? Maybe not so much blacking out as someone else taking over? Just a new perspective. Like a Jekyll and Hyde thing?

No hate. !! We're all just guessing, really. Opinions. I always have one, but that's all it is. :)

He seems to be conscious of the fact he is NOT normal, I am sure the LE and FBI have spent countless hours delving into what exactly that means...I guess we will have to watch this unfold.

Just specualting here. But it occurred to - my little gray house- I just learned its his ex. I have always wondering why an ex would remain invoved with him. The 6 roomates, are hers not his. And then it clicked. Just specualting - it would be ideal , of we go to him dealing/using crack per parents.Maybe he deals crack at that location, or some of em use and buy from him when he comes in "for the weekend" There was mention of party there that night.

As I have said I saw a person it once. Its really not something you could do and then go to a bar, it produces really odd behavior. I am not using the term a crack house here - but they typically like to be and do with it with other users

It would also explain and or give us some$$$$ explainations. Or does landscapting mean harvesting weed for his "colleagues" during the week. His profile certainly indicates drug weed use, how he gets money is questionable, and would explain why the ex has remained invoved with someone who is mean just speculating here , it does fill in some holes IMO

I would love to see a brain scan of this guy. There is so much research that has and is being done on that.

I would like to add, I think you are being too nice to him. That's all - probably because you are a nice person.
I'm more cynical these days.

I have a big problem with him being able to cut up and clean up and dispose of remains where he did. That took hours. And it took a scary personality to do it. Either he's a sick psycho who knew what he was doing or he had a blackout. I just don't believe in the blackout myself. But he's caught, and now he has to come up with something. JMO

Oh ok, I misunderstood you.

Sorry!

Friend of the family was in CA prison 5 years. His mom needed some medical records 4 months after release. She spoke to records and she said once released all records are transferred out to state of Sacramento. From there end its like he never was there. She never got the records.

Hm. I think the multiple personalities thing might have some validity.

There is no telling whether they will return to that prison. So it makes sense they return the file to cdcr hq.

An inmate is sent to reception. Reception depends on what parole unit the inmate is from. In the Bay Area, reception is sq. in the valley, it is nksp (Delano) from there, inmate can go to any prison really.

Maybe if it was some high profile case but they can't give out someone's CDC number if they've been released and no longer in the custody of the prison unless they broke parole and have to go back.

Does this mean that may we never get to see his face? Has that ever been done before?

I find it hard to believe that no one in the neighborhood noticed the smell of human remains in t.......

I agree. Why I still beleive this was the first face to face. Interestly (posted) another lady that got invovled with him said, and I found it telling was something along the lines he seemed normal on the phone but creepy face to face. She was a nurse - she would habe IMO sensed trouble within 20 min. I think becasue of her beauty he wanted folks to think that she "dated" him, when in reality , she had been online and had some doubts which is why it took her 6 weeks to finally do a face to face , with 70,000 other people around !!

Personally I believe that is very rare, but happens on soap operas a lot.:moo:

I'm thinking bipolar alcoholic!

In regards to the ex girlfriend- she said that she dated him for about 6 months ? She mentioned that he would get violent when intoxicated and had put his hands on her once- wonder how in the world that relationship even lasted 6 months. As evidenced by this horrific crime, I would say the guy had much more than just violent tendencies when drunk. There are a lot of issues! How did they just peacefully split ? How could she peacefully break up with him? It's just scary to me..... He seems to be the one that wants to get the last laugh.
It's just chilling that this monster she dated for 6 months just brutally murdered a "date."
Just how long can you put on a fake persona before you ultimately snap?

Clearly, pretty much every word of that was a lie.

The drugs (known addict), his level of ambition (he's homeless), he prefers mellow and quiet (known to have explosive and violent outbursts).

The only truth he's made evident in these descriptions is that he has no concept of what a normal, healthy relationship looks like (proven by his "whatever people do as friends, basically" comment).

Ughhh...

But I thought he had kids:liar::moo:

First I'd like to give a shout out to Ingrid for being an amazing person to her family, especially her daughters. Her ex attempted to drop the kids off by ten and when she wasn't there- red flag went up. Immediately called the mother to come check with key. She went inside and immediately knew something was wrong. Since Ingrid was amazing and wouldn't leave her kids hanging- the Internet exploded with Be On The Lookout- something is wrong. Within minutes, friends in different countries knew and started sending messages. This doesn't happen for someone who is suspect or hasn't shown a consistent life. A person close to me who knows Ingrid immediately thought the worst because they knew Ingrid and her rigidity towards her life and the lives of her children, family and friends. It just plain wasn't her to be caught up with someone so out of touch.
For this, I believe that Charlton was never at her house with her knowledge. I think this was the first time she hung out with him and when 'she acted weird' after the baseball game that is when he got into it with her- probably as she was trying to end the night and get into her car to leave. They fought and then the rest happened. Since she lived at the same house for 13 years the information was on her license or he knew where she lived through his stalking.
Either she was already dead in the car or knocked out. He took her back to the house and finished his work.
I still believe he has some sort of psycho-erotic fantasy about one of his family members and targets females that look like that family member. There was a post from someone that talked about another dating site that he was corresponding with another female that looked oddly similar to Ingrid.
I have heard personal accounts of the life that Ingrid led and I am more convinced that she was taken in Seattle. She never would of taken this guy home. He is saying that he has been to her house so he can justify why his prints and DNA are there.
As for the thinking that this was some moment of rage, uhhhhh he used a saw to chop her up.
Rest in Peace dear Ingrid and know that your family has the support of many millions of advocates for the strong and loving life that you led.
