WA WA - Jazzmyne Yearby, 16, 7 months pregnant, signs of going into labor, left group home in Vancouver, may go to Portland, OR, 15 Apr 2025

She could be posting on tik tok without any adult or care organization who is responsible for her care knowing where she is. There haven't been any reports in the media that she was officially located, at least not that I have seen today.
Can confirm, when I worked with youth in foster care, a missing persons case could not be resolved until law enforcement came to visit them to confirm their presence. So we had times where the kid was in contact with us via phone/text, but still considered missing because they would dodge LE or LE would just straight-up not make visiting them a priority.

I'm thinking that she may be more concerned that the baby might be placed with another for care, if she had been diagnosed with substance abuse or mental health issues (that's unknown). Since she's a minor however, LE should be treating the case with the same care as someone younger than 17, however given the number of missing (OR and WA have some of the highest missing persons cases in the county) getting the subpeana for GPS data may not be happening quickly.
All the more reason for this to be taken seriously. This baby is the primary concern atm. We can worry about helping Mom later.

taking a little issue with how this was worded. respectively, mom is a child and as a marginalized youth, she’s possibly experiencing some serious mental/physical issues. helping mom is protecting baby.

Back up and read all my posts in this thread and the post I was responding too.

If LE is not taking this seriously, meaning they aren’t really concerned with finding her. If she is running away because she is afraid the baby will be removed. If she is a high risk pregnancy and is showing signs of pre-term labor, she is putting the baby and herself at risk. You misinterpreted the meaning of my post.

If she won’t stay put and receive medical care, they are going to have to confine her by whatever legal means available. She doesn’t have the capacity to understand how dangerous her actions are. I do care about Jazzmyne and her baby, that’s why I’m posting here.
