I just want to respond to questions about why he didn't take a car and drive off with Jenise to dispose etc... I believe this occurred under the cover of darkness. If the older brother was in town as I suspect, and the parents had their vehicles, it's very likely they had the keys with them and he would have had to wake them to use a car in the middle of the night, which would generate more questions from his family soooo.
That's all I had to say.
Mom, dad, older brother cars.

I'm not clear on the number of people in the household - step father, mother for sure but ? not sure about sibs

Is it possible that GG slept over at their house on sat and he and JW snuck out after the parents were asleep for an adventure?

I wondered if there was not a last minute coverage of the household as a favor (informally) - along the same lines as you are thinking or just a drop in visit KWIM?

I've been wondering if GG's parents were even home the night all of this happened. Does anybody know ? Could all of this have happened right there in the trailer he lived in? I haven't heard for certain if his parents were present at the home on that Saturday night.

That might go a long way in explaining his timing:

Parents gone from home.

Lures Jenise over.

Commits crime and leaves her right there in the home for awhile, after strangling and beating her.

Knows his parents won't be back until the next day.

Takes her out just prior to dawn, or at first light, into the wooded area to dispose of body.

Comes home muddy and dirty and hides clothes in his room.

Nobody there to observe him come in the house looking like that.

Due to location of his home, he could easily slip in and out of the wooded area without being observed by other residents. (His trailer basically backs up next to the woods)

With no access to a vehicle, or no keys available, everything had to be hidden as good as possible right there on site.

He washes down his muddy boots and clothing as best he can, hides the rest.

By the time his parents return, everything is cleaned up and tidy.

He was a star wrestler, along with a brother, at Olympic High School in Bremerton. Two years ago, he was state champion in his weight class in junior freestyle wrestling.

But there are also indications on line of the trouble that he is now facing. On the website *******, to the question: "Wanna Fight?" He answered, "No, I don't fight. I just kill people until the point where they're dead."

And then, perhaps more ominously, to the question: ''What's the latest thing that made you smile?'' He wrote back, ''A child crying.''

Authorities didn't remove any bedding from his home, did they? I don't recall reading it in the document provided..

I believe they are focusing on the three vehicles that were impounded..Where Jenise was found, was not the initial crime scene. So authorities are dealing with two crime scenes, is my belief..

other than the vehicles: what do we really know about what they removed from his house ((if I recall correctly LE was there all night after he was arrested)) we have not seen search warrants or inventory of what was taken at GG residence

why not! I was alluding to this very thing last night - GG may have ''been home''' all weekend but what about the parents?? Certainly they may have gone out for a night on the town together and left him at home to socialize with friends whatever. So I think your scenario ((MOO)) could be right on the $

Stepfather said that GG was home all weekend but there was no statement about step father or mother's whereabouts during that time ....KWIM

The mom doesn't strike me as a woman that would not be at home sleeping in her bed every night.
imo he was "somewhere" else ans someone wlse knows it.

the ONLY way that would NOT be a freaky statement is if it was a ''newborn'' baby being born cry KWIM -- does he have a niece or nephew that was born within the year?? ((KWIM))

so I agree unless there is evidence that there was a birth in the family or circle of friends that brought him some delight -- no evidence on that though and we cannot seek that kind of information either

Thank you very kindly, katydid23. I may have failed to appreciate the distinction, and if that's the case, I owe Gitana an apology. Bundy was absolutely steeped in murder and possession; he appears to have spent most of his waking hours, even once imprisoned, thinking about these things. In prison in Florida he befriended other murderers and rapists so that he could discuss and evaluate their own acts of violence. I think it's fair to say he's one of the most compulsive and advanced sexual deviants ever known to LE. It's hard for me to see Gaeta in the same light. But all serial offenders have to start somewhere, and I readily admit I don't know any more about GG than what I've read in media, here on WS, or in police publications. For example: whether or not he tormented animals, lit fires, or had abusive parents. I'll try to be more careful as I read other member's suppositions.

I think it is really difficult and inappropriate to make any kind of comparison or diagnosis with the limited information we have at this point. Additionally, an accurate assessment is very lengthy and takes a lot of time. Jmo

Yep, I think they were incorrect or premature and edited their story. Because I googled further and found other articles that say court documents indicate cod as blunt force trauma but I just reread the probable cause statement and it does not say what caused her death, specifically. So I think yeah, a case of one reporter reading into it and then more papers used the exact same wording.

Is the ME and LE waiting on tox screen results before naming COD?

as silly as this may sound, what if he had a spare set of shorts & tee in the bag he used to mark the spot....put the soiled items in the bag and that's what they found at his house. He could have changed clothes after hiding JW. He took the bag and left the strap at the site. He would be dirty from the deed and could have changed a couple of items (shorts & tee under darkness) ... he wasn't able to ditch the bag with the evidence (towel, and his sstuff)) until LE left the MHP as he knew they were searching vehicles etc.

jmho
Since he was heavily into sports, I bet he had extra clothes in one of the vehicles in another gym bag. When my kids were tweens and teens, they always kept spare clean clothes in the car.

Looking at the clothes, he changed after the rape and murder. She wasn't moved for 1/2 hour to 3 hours after death. He had time to change out of the bloody underwear and shorts and use a towel to wipe himself or surface. Was she left in the car while he did this? Did it all happen in his bedroom?

He discarded the muddy clothes somewhere. Why not discard the bloody clothes too??

Good questions. You just made me wonder if any of the 3 vehicles have been returned to the family. I think once the testing is done on the vehicles and they release those findings, a big piece of the puzzle will emerge. I wonder how the parents are getting around town if they have no vehicles. Forced to just sit in the house and go stir crazy with all of this. I'm really sad for his mom. I'm sad for all involved and primarily J's family, of course. But having a son a little older than him, I"m also sick to think of what his mom must be thinking.

He could have easily changed outside, using a hose to clean himself up, behind his house under cover of darkness if he had to based on what you have suggested.

I don't know if anyone else may have covered this- I skipped pages-
But as far as the antidepressants:
I went to school with a girl who seemed extremely well rounded. Great parents and home life, cheerleader, student council, always smiling and friendly to absolutely everyone. Turned out she was on antidpressants and suicidal. Never any indication of it- just a confession one night during a sleepover.

I don't think that's what we are looking at though. Others have said: sociopath. I've done a lot of reading in the past about sociopaths. There's even a forum for it- people talk about the ages they realize they're different and about trying to lead fairly normal lives.

His demeanor during interrogation leads me to that.
My best friend since middle school is bipolar- I've seen her on handfuls of medication, I've seen her on drugs or drinking. I've seen all the cycling, the mania--
he doesn't strike me as *just* bipolar (though there could be a dual diagnosis there.)

his manipulation was very telling.
I imagine his parents- or mother at least *knows* something is wrong with him. Hence the antidepressants. I can see taking my kid to the doctor saying "somethings wrong with him, maybe he's depressed?" And so he runs with what he thinks depressed looks like. It also gives him a cover at home for odd behavior until he becomes or learns better how to appropriately disquise himself. 17 is a hard age for the antisocial, you are still learning what mask to don at what time- though becomming better skilled.

And I don't find it hard to believe that his knowledge of how crime scenes work, or even interrogations (2 way mirror) being lacking. Perhaps he grew up in a sheltered environment? Or wasn't smart enough to think about any of that since he's always been successful in his manipulation.

Just my thoughts.
