WA WA - Jeremiah Foco, 34, Seattle, 21 July 2015

  • #61
He was seen entering the building on video at 12:07 I'm not sure where he entered from. There are several exits in the building. Only one does not have camera surveillance. That exit would be covered by camera surveillance from the Wells Fargo building but a subpoena is required to view their video.
His Orca card was last used Monday evening for his trip home from work in Bellevue. It was not used on Tuesday, he was working from home that day.

I see. Thanks for the clarification. So we know that he left sometime after 10PM, when he was observed retrieving something from his car, & that he returned to his building (at least ... though not necessarily his apartment :() at 12:07AM. Did you obtain these pieces of information from the police? It seems to me that they are quite hesitant to share much information at all about what they have discovered so far as to what Jeremiah might have been doing or where he might have been around the time he went missing, but they must have felt OK about sharing these particular pieces of information. Yet they still wouldn't share the video images with friends and family, correct? Could it be that he was seen in the company of someone, and that at least at this point they don't have a reason to suspect foul play, so they want to protect the privacy of this individual, as well as Jeremiah?

I just really don't like the location of the last ping. All that the police have told you is downtown Seattle ... is this an area Jeremiah visits often?

He was last seen coming into his apartment building at 12:07.
His usual backpack has not been located.
From what I understand the last cellphone ping was just "downtown Seattle" with no specific street indicated.

TY for this info. Seems that he either bought a new back pack,or that wasn't him on the video.

If he was never seen exiting the building perhaps he could still be in the building someplace. One way or another. jmo

Sorry, forgot to ask in my previous post: Could it be that it was a gun that "J" went to retrieve from his car? Perhaps he was going somewhere he deemed somewhat unsafe, so he wanted to protect himself?

His parents should contact Wells Fargo (and others with surveillance video in the area) and ask them to save the video from the appropriate date. So many times, by the time LE decides to investigate, the video from the dates in question have been deleted/erased/taped over.

It appears the apartment manager is unwilling to share the video footage with the family. The garage footage is all they have been able to view.
The detective has done a "sweep" of the building including janitors closets, roof etc.
Parents are trying to get power of attorney but it is a long process.
The apartments are Uwajimaya Village Apartments.

I live in Seattle and I'm familiar with the building. It's fairly big, and I'm guessing that LE didn't search each apartment. jmo

I read on another site that J. was seen driving into the garage around 10pm. Then he was last seen entering the building again at 12 :07am . From that info,it seems that he must have used the exit that only has cameras from Wells Fargo (opposite the building) at some point that night, before he was last seen entering the building at 12 :07am. He is
either still in the building, or he used the Wells Fargo exit again after 12 :07 am, and never returned.

Seattle is pretty safe, very livable. jmo. But,he seemed kind of busy that night. That is not the neighborhood to be wandering around at night. But, he would have known that. jmo

The Wells Fargo video footage will tell the story of what happened that night. jmo Lucky that banks keep video footage for many months.

Anyone heard what he was doing before he disappeared? Where was he coming from at 12:07 am? It’s a bit late, was he out with friends? I’d be interested in hearing how he was acting that day, was everything normal? Baffling case, seemingly no signs at all of foul play or him still being in the area but from what it sounds like he isn’t the type to just run off either.

The last ping location could’ve very well been at his apartment. The area he lived in, the International District, is considered downtown. Seattle really isn’t as big as some people might think it is.

The thing that confuses me is the fact that he had his laptop with him when he went missing. It seems odd if he wasn't on his way to work that he would bring his laptop.

This was the laptop he used primarily for work ? That is odd...jmo

I, too, have wondered where he was, what he was doing, who he was with before he returned to his building. In the majority of missing persons cases -or so it seems-, it's usually the person(s) the missing was last seen with that the police are most interested in speaking with. Or, if the missing person was seen at a bar, for example, the authorities would likely interview the employees there. Does anyone among family and friends have any idea where J might have been that night, what he might have been doing, and/or who he might have been hanging out with?

I'm just trying to come up with ideas. Jeremiah seems like such a sweetheart, and the fact that his friends are working so hard to find him speaks volumes as to his character.

None of his friends know where he was prior to 12:07 am
The video from Wells Fargo or possibly video from the apartment building itself would be the best clues.
Family and friends have not been allowed to view this footage.

His case was featured on Dateline NBC and the national coverage has brought out several trolls. People are emailing and messaging that they know where he is.
They are requesting to speak directly to his parents only, giving false information etc

So sorry about the trolls ... ugh :(! By the way, are the police looking at J's cell records (it sounds like they have been reviewing bank activities ((no activities since Mon. prior to his disappearance)))? I hope that they are, and that they will be able to find some information in there that is going to point you and them in the right direction. Wait, they did say that there were lots of activities involving his contacts, calendar, etc. Wed. morning, right? It seems that if they were able to obtain that type of information, then they should be able to find out whom he might have been texting, calling, etc. up until the last ping as well. It does seem, however, it can be pretty difficult to obtain phone records in general .... Hope tomorrow brings some -much needed!- good news!!

Hoping he is found.

BBM. That's terrible; to add to friends' and the family's anxiety is just cruel. So sorry that is happening.

I know trolls are common but it still disgusts me to no end that people would do this to his family, as if they aren’t going through enough.

Are you sure he wasn't on his way to work? If he came back to his apartment at 12:07 am, why do you think he didn't leave for work in the morning with his computer?

I don't find it odd that he went out after 10 pm. Maybe he went out for a slice of pizza. Is there a late-night bookstore near there?

Besides the Wells Fargo footage, who he was calling and texting on his phone seems key.

Question?
If they have no evidence of foul play and there is a possibility he went off on his own are they allowed to access his cell records?

  • #79
I believe the police have looked into his cell phone records, but can only tell the family that the cloud was accessed on Wednesday (the day he disappeared) and the last ping was on Thursday.

There was a posting yesterday on the facebook page set up for him saying LE has been tracking his bank account and there has been no activity. Not a good sign. :waitasec:
