Welcome Bonnie! Do you know how Joe was planning to travel to see family if he didn't drive and didn't use public transportation? For example, does he usually fly East? Was he getting a ride with someone? I hope we can help find your brother.

He didn’t communicate much, but I’m guess bike or hitchhiking. He did say something to someone about how he and his father may parallel. Our father died at his campsite while on a long bike ride.

Bonnie Legendre isn’t ready to give up, even though she has accepted her brother might be dead.

Since last summer, Legendre has searched for clues about Joseph A. Donais, who was last known to be living in Vancouver before disappearing in July 2018.

Legendre said her brother told family members he was moving east, but he didn’t specify a destination or travel mode.
“He contacted a lot of family just prior to him disappearing,” she said. “He was heading out east. He had talked to his daughter, whom he was in fairly regular contact with."
RSBM. Way to put your bro out there @bonnie legendre Donais ... may this exposure yield tips!

So far this article hasn’t yielded any results. But there has been more websites picking him up. Hopefully 2020 will a year of answers.

His NamUs profile lists his last contact date as July 22, but he made several fb posts in the following days (on July 23 and 25). Could he have used fb to communicate on those days?

He could have, he was a night owl and time difference may have been an issue. FB was his only way to communicate. The 22nd was the last communication through messenger that we were aware of and that was with me.
