The body was in a deep ravine in a wooded area near her home, according to Whatcom County Sheriff's Office.

Police: Whatcom County woman believed to have been found in deep ravine

Oh my, that's terribly sad news she ended up in a deep ravine.
I wonder if she couldn't see the ravine due to ground foliage covering and/or was wandering at night ?

I can't bear the thought of it.
Poor Julie. May God shine a light on her soul.

Julie's disappearance and loss has definitely been a sad and poignant event for the Whatcom community. So, so many locals have been wishing and praying for her safe return and doing their best to help search and/or spread awareness of her disappearance and there has been a lot of sad sentiments over her death. I hope she is at peace now.

I wonder if she actually made it home then headed out again for whatever reason. It would have been confusing for someone with dementia.

I know she went missing from the trail but I don't think we know details like whether she had a key or not.

Very very sad. RIP.
