Krishna Venkatesh, a Microsoft Windows program manager, will be the subject of a search Tuesday morning at Deception Pass State Park, 80 miles north of Seattle, where his car was discovered in a parking lot over the weekend, according to friends and co-workers.

Venkatesh, 27, was last seen on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Microsoft campus in Redmond. He lives in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Yikes! Lots of accidental and too many purposeful deaths on and around Deception Pass Bridge. Its a beautiful park, but lots of steep trails with rocks and ocean below. I hope he is found soon and safely!

If he got up here after 7:30 pm, as it looks like the last pins were around 8:00 pm, it would already be dark. You don't really stop at Deception Pass in the dark for anything. There are no businesses or convenience stores, gas stations, anything like that within maybe 1/2 a mile to a mile either direction. I read yesterday that dogs were used in a search, but the article didn't say anything about results. Just that they found his car locked and nothing looked out of place.

Has there been any new info today?

Seems they are going to close the FB page and refer to a website that has been made for him. There are no new updates.

After more than two months, police have no new leads on missing Microsoft employee

It has been more than two months since Krishna Venkatesh, a program manager at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, went missing and police are still looking for him.

[snip]

Police had one lead suggesting Venkatesh had driven to Deception Pass as they found his car in the area, but nothing has resulted from this, according to the SPD.

Not just his car, but they followed cell phone data all the way up there too and searched the area pretty thoroughly right away. Its sad that the family and friends probably have to assume he jumped.
