It is alledged Fitzpatrick gave LC drugs. I thought it was stated somewhere as to the type of drug given, but I can’t find the info at the moment.

Fitzpatrick and Maria Counts, 29, have been charged with kidnapping, rape of a child, promoting commercial sexual abuse of a minor, possession of child , and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance to a minor. On Monday, prosecutors charged the third suspect, William Kent Pittman, 34, with rape of a child.

Prosecutors allege Fitzpatrick took naked pictures of the girl and gave her drugs.

After the teen was reported missing, a friend told police she had been spending time with an adult she considered a friend. Detectives said they later determined that friend was Fitzpatrick. Police have said it’s not clear if the girl went with Fitzpatrick on her own volition.

The 18-year-old said they went to an RV in the area, used a synthetic hallucinogen and then went to an apartment. That's where he said he heard Counts and Fitzpatrick tell Christopherson they could take her to a hotel and that she could get paid if she took photos.

LC had a history of drug possession. However, this does not make her any less a victim of the heinous crimes committed against her. I was pleased to read DDK1979’s comment that assistance is being offered to the family for help and resources for LC.

According to court documents, LC was on probation for possessing alcohol, as well as was suspended from her school for drug possession. She’s also run away from home in the past, but had always returned shortly afterward, and the incidents were never reported to police.

Thank you so much, Mica. I wasn't home and wasn't getting a signal to respond. It has been reported many times that drugs are involved in this crime and that L was given or took drugs. Eventually , that becomes an addiction. It's not a judgement, just a fact. Don't want to call it an addiction? Ok, no problem. I hope that the drugs that were used that did not cause an addiction are something that she does not want in her life.

I have been down many roads with drug users. It is a very tough road to get off and it is hard on everyone involved.

Is that better? I thought my note about the fact that it was a general comment and not intended to speculate about L was enough of a disclaimer. Somehow, it's never enough. Always need more disclaimers for the disclaimers to state a simple little opinion.

Thank you very much... hopefully this time they don't grant him lesser charges. He always seems to slip through the cracks, no matter what he's arrested for. He needs to be locked away for a very long time.

It appears Fitzpatrick may be getting ready to do the same: he has a hearing at 1:30 PM today, and it says, “PLEA DATE” under “Type.” I hope he goes away for a very, very long time; he is an extremely dangerous criminal, IMO.
